my guess is the smg pump motor brushes worn out and not enough fluid pressure is being made. have spares if needed but get it checked out etc , can also be worn clutch and parts around it etc. can scan it too if you like

i use gravity 1st , then use a small bottle of fluid that i can squeeze with a rubber hose connected to the bleed nipple and force the air up (which is the way it wants to go) , 2 squeezes and lock off the nipple and you are done. -
what about that guy in nelson that works on old ferrarais etc used to own a alpina e28

no cert . i brought new billys , then had them revalved to suit track/ road etc

nice cars ,. mufflers sold , but have the bolt in centre section with the cats cut out if you want to try that .
