no its a outside temp sensor mounted in the brake duct on rhs I think , tells the heater unit . valves , just open it up and check it out

gummed up sticky heater valve also check the outside temp sensor is there and working the flat round one , also clean the vent on the heater control panel

these covers can fall off , brittle old plastic clips etc , and many people knock them when backing up which weakens them etc . same with the badges , the emblems come with when the glue goes off etc they just blow off in the wind

yes have seen bad earth strap conections on e60 e64 etc , from where the steel chassis conects to the ali front rails etc , and the rear straps etc

yes some awesome covers , in fact they are so good there is only one front and one rear one , others must have got kick off by the bmw brakes

mates got one behind a m52b28 with a supercharger on it in a e36 ti track car, though car weighs alot less

the trans is stuffed , vibrations , worn , thrust arm bushes , control arms , steering idler dush , track rod joints worn etc etc

sounds like your trans is stuffed i have a nice 4hp22 trans . just check the tah and plug pin count etc 021433600 can ship etc
