my mate in manurewa has a m20B27 engine complete . and he might have a m20b25 head , would need to be tested though for cracks (car had over heating problem ) but cant seam to find what caused it , so engine was just swapped out for a 2.7L hartge engine
-
or maybe something like this .
-
i have to agree with Ray. yes they are becoming very rare . lots more are getting cooked (and broken cambelts etc) now etc . starting to dry up the stock levels i think around $800 now for a good head or engine if you can find one
-
like glen said , get it checked, the idle control valves get sticky over time , so try cleaning it out etc . also double check for engine vaccuum leaks . check that the TPS switch is working and set correctly .
-
they will fit fine. e39, e32, e34 ,e31 etc have same hub as e28/ e24 etc. e39 has sleightly large hub size et20 is best with a 8" wide rim , just becarefull you dont use a tyre with a big a curb protector or it might rub against the front strut tower . i had a problem with my 16" by 8" with ET23 with a 225/50-16" bridgestone Grid III they just rub up against the strut , , so we just pu a small dent in the tower tube and drove around burning a bit of rubber for a few 100km or so . something like a 235/35-18 or 235/40-18" would suit i run 235/45-17" tyres on my road use wheels which are 17" by 8" with a et20 , have no problems

my mate a has a 525e M20 2.7L engine sitting in his shed taking up space. probably $400 will own it
-
get the gas level checked first , if there is not enough gas in the system it wont turn on the ac compressor. you might have a leaking condensor or evaporator panel , or just low on a/c gas
-
hhhmm, maybe engine ecu relay is sticking on , try replacing that one , otherwise start pulling relays and testing there
-
do you have any stereo amps hooked up not going through teh factory fuse box etc also have seen the central locking relay box play and also the realy that controls the int lights including the lightend window buttons .
-
check your spark plugs , coil plugs etc , and injectors plugs etc for a miss . oil sitting down in the spark plug holes , also afm can fail sometimes , but they dont cause missing just splutering at idle etc. those V8's run fine even when i unplug the trans computer etc
-
why not swap it for manual , so as not to have the same problem again. i have some manual sport seats .. or try european car spares in papakura . pretty sure he will have some
-
try another radiator or water pump
-
use the senors for the year of the car . newer ones match the cluster and engine ecu etc how good is the fan clutch (viscous) they wear out with age , if they spin to freely the car will heat up when sitting around . also they will be very oily in the front of the clutch as all the fluid comes out of them .
-
No they will stick out to far . you need from a e46 or e36 etc . offset about 35 to 40 etc . not 10-20 etc
-
change the pollen filter then . probably original one all stuffed up with leaves , dust etc.burried right up above the divers feet on the side of the heater box . try this link , just remember the pics are form lhd cars . about photo 5 onwards applys. http://www.nmia.com/~dgnrg/page_4.htm

helmets are for pussy's

-
he has modified his listing about 5 times now
-
yea happy birthday
-
no , door card complete . you can buy the clips , but thats about it . see below http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E36/Coup...im_panel_front/
-
almost tempting . you dont want a nice e34 535i as a trade do you
-
new listing . i like his wording . http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=246580653
-
sounds like its toast . very expensive to rebuild , better to just swap it out for a good working second hand unit or swap it out for a manual conversion.

thats about where they settle , they will push excess water out the overflow if you over fill them. there is a high and low mark on the side of that tank . thats where it should be
