sorry sold now . but i do have a parts car almost the same sort of thing . 96 318is with the M44 engine 1.9L . same listing number -
when the alt is gone the light will stay on when car is runing , maybe you should replace the earth strap . if its to thin it wont pass eough currant to start the car . i have earth straps if needed in papakura 021433600. if you reversed the battery wires you will kill the ecu

seen a few on ebay.de .but there a place in the us that sell light weight ones with uprated clutches etc . http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/flywheel/V8/index.htm http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFro...et=products.asp http://www.ultrarev.com/home.php?cat=327

there is also a ultrasonic type that measures air disturbance with a ultrasonic beam and receiver inside a tube like a hotwire system .the hot wire system can fail , wire burns out or changes resitance as the wire degrades. the old air flap meter type wears the resistance track and the spring bimetal changes its tension over the years(actually gets tighter making the car run leaner) the map sensors can fail sometimes when engine backfires into the intake manifold (had that happen to me in my VPcommy 3.8 V6) but i think the new ones that they sell can handle boost and vacuum no problem.

it has a hot wire system , so probably no point in changing it.

i run a e36 325i 5spd M50 . non vanos , it has enough torque as it is , and i am sure with the extra capacity of teh 328i engine , there should be enough there to satisfy . i love the way the M50 325i revs out . quite rewarding to drive .
-
ok , now worry's . dont need the wheels if you wantto keep them.cheers brent yes will be at puke friday
-
do you mean you want headers for e39 M5 ??
-
yes have seen it myself . had a M60 3L engine that was over heated (cracked heads etc) and when i stripped the block down , found 2 bolts in the pan and most of the oil pump bolts where loose .incl the back plate of the oil pump . yea so might pay to check . i also had another 740i e32 w hile ago and the oil light stayed on at low rpm , so gusessing it had the same problem. i have a article from total bmw about the M60 engines . and its mentioned in there along with other faults .

its fine. my wifes stock 1990 e34 535i 5spd . 3.45diff , put out 118kw 160hp at the wheels . very low millage car 75000km on the same dyno . so if he's getting more now with aremap thats' pretty good. i got 132kw out of a hartge engine i built up a few years ago . gavin's old alpina B10 e34 got 140kw on his dyno . so all about right for waht they are.
-
i have the parts. IN RED TO cheers brent 021433600

not bad , i got 118kw 160hp from my wifes stock e34 535i with 75,000km on the clock . my mates e28 m535i with e34 head (sleightly lower compression on the e28 block) with a 286 cam got 125kw(170hp). my old hartge engine i built up got 133kw 180hp with a chipped ecu (was good for 10kw compared to stock ecu). but i havn't done a remap yet on any of the cars . the e28 M5 engine is up next along with a map sensor upgrade to replace the old flappy afm.
