most info you need . is here gear box swap. i just replaced starter relay with a 2 pin unit that the manuals use (you could modify one), bypasses the auto kill . switch . also do the mod in the web page so the trans error message doesn't come up in the cluster . also just runs the reverse wire from the shifter switch area through to the sensor on the side of the gearbox .

is that for face lift model 84 onwards .

i have 92 325i 5spd , its my daily hack car , yes the early ones have pretty bad interiors , i sel part for these and lots of interior bits go out the door . i agree 320i is under powered for the weight , might as well have the 2.5litre if you are going to cart that weight around . my car has been reliable for me . i converted it to manual . have heard the auto's suck . i sold my old auto no probs . get one about 95 onwards to get better interior . later cars have probs with abs , electronic heater controls .air bags issues . this is just some of the feed back i get from customers . my car is the simplier model , no air bags , no electronic heater controls , no vanos issues . just have to put up with saggy door cards , have replaced my hood linning ( from my own stock ) also repaired drivers sport seat with bits from a customers passenger seat . mines done 220,000km now , and still goes ok .

most e34 /e32 530i 535i 540i 730i 735i 740i 750i etc are large case . only 520i and some 525i where med

they are 20" by 9" , offset will suit 5 and 7 series .3 are ok one has major damage . very expensive wheels . hamann pg2

i have pumps and control boxes for those . there is also a guy in TM that repairs those abs pumps

replace the shifter rod and the end near the box . also the the round ball part sticking out from the gear box wears down were the pin goes through . also the plastic bush the geaqr lever ball joint sits in

na , just use some gaffa tape on the bumpers and put some dealers plates on it and drive it

correct . just swap pedals , bolts etc .any m30 flywheel , 525i 528i 535i from e28 or 628i 635i e24, e23 735i 728i , or older stuff like 3000csi etc . i have used a m20 crossmember from e34 and just drill out some new holes to line up to chasis
