  1. I met Neil yesterday when I went into sign the paperwork. The Sportage - when are they coming out in a diesel? Will they have the 145kw 450nm unit? It has to be one of the best looking cars I've seen. That & the Cerato.

  3. The car is already a modern day classic.
  4. Ha, nearly 300nm in a car that weighs as much as tracing paper has to be good fun.
  5. Nope, Debbie, I think she's the manager there?
  6. Certainly have mate. It would be about 100 a week difference without RUC.
  7. Yer, those sorrento's engines have to be epic. Reliability has to be questioned if a 2.2 4 cyclinder diesel engine is developing those figures though, I mean a new X5 3.0d engine is only 520nm and 170kw!
  8. The 15's are going, getting a set of 16" multi spokes for it to boy it up a bit. Wife says it looks like an old ladies car lol.
  9. Are they a big seller? Any issues with them?
  10. These are now 25k new, we're paying 18 for this one ex rental.
  11. RIO DIESEL Yep! We've bought one to replace our Mazda 6. Before you all shake your heads and go, wtf is he on, it's all about pure economics. My wife travels about 45-50km a year as her work is out of town. The Mazda 6 is hulling through petrol at 9.8liters per 100km combined. We've worked it out the Rio Diesel will save us atleast $75 per week in running costs. We've also needed to sell the Mazda as the mileage is now at 155km, we bought it at 90km. The Rio uses 4.5 combined but on a trip it was pulling 3.9-4.2 per 100km. The power is 81kw and 235nm and in a light car that NM is very zippy. It has everything from stability control, 6 airbags, e.t.c also. The drive is actually very addictive with that torque, it's very quick off the line and passing is as if it was a 2 litre petrol. Dam they've come a long way over the last few years! Reliability wise a good mate of mine has one as a works car and he is literally the worst person in the world at looking after cars, it's thrashed constantly and he doesn't use a clutch to change up in gears, he's absolutely shocking. His has done 70,000km in 2 years and no problems whatsoever. Servicing intervals are the same and cost about $180 (15km for diesel and petrol) They also come with a 5 year 100,000km warranty. Burnt orange or Sunset orange is the paint code which IMO is quite nice.

I'm surprised that first black E39 is still there. That thing looks brilliant, the second one isn't even better, but those wheels on the first are hot.

    Citroen

They made THIS! IMO what an epic looking unit! A concept car, we'll probably never see it but wow! More info HERE
  14. Loved the first job they did on it, but the flaring and kit made my eyes bleed. Really liked the rear bootlip. But the Audio Visual BS in the boot in my opinion is just a pure waste of time & money, I mean, what real practical circumstance would ever require such a thing?

    Audi S4

Nice unit mate, but I think Audi that old and that higher spec is asking for trouble IMHO. Get it but get a warranty if possible.
  16. Mine got upset when I changed my rims from 18" to 20" thats the only time I've ever come across any issues. How do they measure a tyre with less air?
  17. Yer a bit ripped off to be honest. I just got a new 4 wheeler atv for the fishing season starting, so hopefully a bit of snow... Was it on the rock radio station I heard the highest recorded swells of over 18 meters? Been trying to find a news article on it.
  18. I have a rough idea of what a clutch does On the other side - YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY - they will have to remove the work they have done if you request this. The instructed work differs from what was originally quoted. They should have consulted you first PRIOR to going ahead with the work. Verbal and written quotes can differ from memory 15% on the actual work quoted, however if they've gone ahead and done other things then they are at fault legally. This is no different than asking your builder to build a deck and then him noticing other work need doing and going ahead without consultation. Stick up for yourself & don't take any BS - Simply they need to have rung or contacted you first. If they don't play ball contact the Ministry of Consumer Affairs or your local Community Law office.
  19. lucky! they could fail a wheel alignment but the rest should be just a few 100 bucks worth of panel & paint.
  20. Did I hear the Polo wasnt made in a VW factory but some cheaper factory somewhere? Anyhow bluemotion is diesel yeah? Must be bloody cheap to run??
  21. I've heard some pretty good things about them, especially economy wise but not so good things about the reliability. Turbo's blowing mainly.
  22. I sent a Celica convertible SS3 to Australia about 8 years ago, it was something I'd never wish upon anyone. It took 3 months for it to be actually drivable legally over there, I think mainly this was because it was a Japanese Import & they think they are the anti-christ. I do think it's easier to send the other way though, but you might have to own the car for a certain period of time? I have a client who has their machine at work at the moment, they just moved from SA and bought their landcruiser with them. Will ask them for you on Tuesday.

    M325i FOR SALE

Sorry, but I'm actually not a mechanic or a suspension specialist, which is why I asked the question.

Classic, was just about to post this myself. Bloody good one them.
  25. LOL ya rekon it's worth the same with a engine that probably needs replaced as a pose to a running engine? Well, not to me as I'd personally not own the car but if someone was buying a large sedan, I rekon it would fetch atleast 6k as a pose to the money it bought in with a engine that doesn't go. From those wheels it also looks like it's a Futura.
