If its a safety bulletin then you are normally eligible regardless of age/ownership. My old lady had a part replaced in her 13 year old Japanese import a few months back free of charge for example. Find out by contacting your dealer.

The jury is out dejay. Looks like you have to go pick it up tomorrow huh? -
Nice. I'm struggling a little with that interior colour though. Nice example all the same.

Bring back the thread from the dead huh? No photoshop, just turned down the brightness on the pics an fiddled with the contrast. I've had it since FEB 2010 and that's almost a record for me LOL - only one mechanical issue and the passengers mirror wasn't dipping when it went into reverse - but meh, nothing to really complain about!

I've got a E53 facelift X5 - it confirms that the doors have locked when you press the button, but doesn't confirm with flashing indicators when you unlock the vehicle. When I'm loaded up to my arms with stuff and wanting to open the boot or doors I like to know that it's actually worked from the other side of the road for example. While I'm here, I normally drive around with my park lights on (dunno why but I've always done this) is there any way of leaving them turned on and the car turning them off when I switch off the vehicle? Also - Is it possible for the headlamps to stay on at night time when exiting the vehicle? There's a 5 year old 500,000km taxi that is just down the road from my shop and he can do this! This isn't a big deal but if something can be done in the computer to make this happen I'd love to hear from you!

Few years ago I was outside my car on the side of the a road here in Mosgiel that virtually everyone does 65-70k down in a 50 zone. The guy across the road gets so pissed with people I seen him pickup his broom and throw it at the car, smashed the windscreen and the poor woman driving with 2 kids inside wasn't angry, but very upset. She called the police and the guy was arrested, fair enough she was speeding ok, most of us here are guilty but throwing a fkn broom at the car? I guess it gets too much for some people that they think they have to do such stupid things.

Yeah nice, your in a M3 now though huh? The loss you've suffered won't be so bad if you're in business? -

335i would be alot more fun and that price seems fairly reasonable on a car that would cost over 130k new to replace + options. Apparantley their torque comes in very quickly. Those fuel consumption figures are awesome for that kind of HP. Does it actually achieve anywhere near these figures ok? I still expect you'd be taking a big kick up the ass by moving into the 335i by the time you tradein? You might be better off listing the 325i yourself. -
Ha yeah, you can lie to everyone else on the road but not to yourself lol. The trained eye that will be the majority of people that will look at this car (if that's what your after) will know straight away it's not a M5.

I could have watched that for hours, good sound, good quality but nah, it had to fkn end! That poor bugger would have to be checking his underwear about now.

I considered one of these before purchasing the Range Rover. They drive very nice, nice 7 cogg'd gearbox. They don't seem to hold their value the same as an equivalent X5 yet they are around the same money new. That price is probably fair IMO if it was on a yard but perhaps 10k over if it's a private sale mainly because it's near or out of factory warranty people spending this kind of money prefer to pay that little extra and gain access to a warranty and finance for peace of mind. It would also depend on what options it has, if it had navigation and luxury pack it might command quite a bit more - ofcourse this is just my opinion how I see it. They are a blood nice wagon and if I wasn't driving mine at the moment it's more than likely what I'd be in.

When I was your age mate (only 3 years ago ROFL) I was driving a CLK55 AMG and a mint low k Boxster that year. Yeah you think Boxster all you chumps but underneath the "hairdressers stigmata" they are actually a very exciting drive and to date I still haven't driven anything that handles as good & I've driven a M3 E46 and E60 M5, Toyota MR2 which I thought were pretty good IMO. At the time I was earning about $450 a week in the hand as a company rep, so I guess it's not how much you earn it's what you do with it? All of my higher end cars have had finance owing on them but very little as I prefer to use a bit of someone elses money!

That is the funniest one I've seen just about. ROFL!

Yep, I think she needs a new friend. If a mate stole my keys and too my rig for a joy ride words would be had, blood would be drawn and police would be involved & if something like that happened I just don't know what I'd do. To be straight up, I think the girl is a fkn clown, is she hot though? I mean, what kind of person would actually do that to someone? It's a criminal act.

What this guy said. Why spend 29k on a engine that is putting out way more power than it's designed to coupled with the rest of the drivetrain e.t.c when you can buy the real deal? Pulling up outside the petrol station and saying, yeah, it's a M5 as a pose to a 540i supercharged... The M5 sounds better to this kid.

I take my hat off again to the chap who made up that PDF with all the info and pictures. Brilliant. Still - not something I would ever undertake on my own car, maybe someone elses?!? By the time you replaced all the dash, parts, computers, screen e.t.c. the price would have to be over 10-12k surely? My question then would be is it really really worth it? Like you couldn't buy a car with it in the first place? Yes you'd be paying sometimes less than a car without the system but if you put that money you're going to spend towards it you'd be better off? Save all the heartache and fail that is inevitable. I'm a postive person but that seems like a massiver undertaking even for a specialist.

Good to know that mate. Finally after going into BMW three times I picked it up yesterday with the result I needed! It works!
