Hey Daniel - below is a picture of the latest model:
-
You get what you pay for ladies. Plain & simple. IMO the build quality on my unit is up there fairly high. But then again, I could have bought a Great Wall 240 and saved 1/3rd of the price even though my car was 2nd hand.
-
Ahahahahaha! They probably are quite reliable. But with only six of them left since 2005 mate, I guess that's not so good.
-
I think there's only 6 of them left. LOL!
-
d*ck tease - I love the 1 series coupe shape.
-
Would you like some fries with that High km's burger? Highest I've seen - would have to get it checked out surely. Is that cheap? I couldn't spend that on a car with that mileage.
-
Westy, you hate bloody everything SUV's are a good at what they do in terms of carting a family around, towing and fitting large amounts of sh*t in - actually that sounds like me (towing/family/large amounts of sh*t) - which is what I use mine for. Worst build quality I've ever seen visually on a car was a Ford F-250 diesel 4WD ute. Nothing inside it fitted together gaps everywhere and the dashboard to the touch felt like an icecream cone.
-
I think that's pretty much all they are in some cases Darren "Big wheels and engine" and sometimes black, this is all shoved into a production run of the mill leaf springed car and the companies just hope the new owner will never take it around a corner haha! My new ute I bought lastyear had leaf springs, getting a car with that suspension setup around a corner was like trying to manhandle a elephant up a fire escape.
-
Do the SRT-8's have the same build quality? - I mean we are talking about 200k + Porsche Cayenne Turbo's & ML 63AMG's here at the moment & don't think they can be mentioned in the same sentence. They are super quick and one of the better looking American cars. Most yanky cars have never done it for me personally, I fear the leaf springs they call decent suspension and chassis made from old shovels a bit of a downfall compared to a German counterpart. Yes they're cheaper, but as they say, you get what you pay for? Here's a quick list of SUV I've owned thus far with a quick run down: P38 Range Rover - air suspension failed - gearbox failed aprox 25l per 100km 2001 E53 X5 4.4V8 - Great car owned it a year not one problem & had 170km! 2001 E53 4.6is - Great car but farkin thirsty 2005 Range Rover - Owned it three months was in the garage a total of 8 weeks - gearbox failed and was away 5 weeks (was a NZ New Diesel) 2005 E53 BMW X5 3.0diesel - not the funiest car I've ever owned but very practical and has some serious pickup power & great handling & very economical + reliable!
-
sh*t I forgot the ML63 - never been in one but they are supposed to be EPIC!
-
The V10 is pretty thirsty - Real life applications see about 15liters per 100km - which to me seem quite pointless if you buy a diesel for economy.
-
Exactly why our 4 cars are registered to my P.O Box - snap Glen.
-
It depends on what kinda money your spending. If 50-60 then a E53 - Sorry to push it but a chipped diesel has more torque lower down (far more usable) & far more economical. If 60k & above then E70 Motorsport, although the E70s are heavy - If fuel isn't an issue - Cayenne Turbo, I do like them, preferably the newer shape one. Friend of mine has one and it averages 25liters per 100km (I've just quickly worked that out and thats bloody 45-50 bucks per 100km!!!) Range Rover - get f**ked - they are the most un-reliable bucket of sh*t. I've had 3 and all have been terribad. Q7 - yeah if you like parking cars 300meters long the V12 diesels must haul though Touareg - they're nice but heavy & won't offer decent on-road performance Landcruisers handle and go like boats (seriously I don't know what the attraction is to them personally)
-
The only place in Dunedin it's served is at the Duke of Wellington - They also serve it on tap in Queenstown, but it's great in a Stein.
-
As one would say: Hello. Welcome to the rock.
-
IMO that Alpina would have to be an easy 20grand. This is what I've offered the owner in the past.
-
Jeeeze that thing would make a mess if he forgot to take it off!
-
Anyone heard of Hofbräu ? It's rather hard to get so when I buy it, I try to get a 24 pack costs about 95 bucks for a 24 pack. If I don't have this or mates (won't share it!) are coming around it's Heineken as standard. Assets: This woman below has them.
-
Not that there's any problems with Carjam, just thought I'd share this site. http://www.checka.co.nz/
-
^^^^ thats a tidy unit - 4k was probably a bit cheap IMO - was it NZ New?
-
IMO E30 is a fairly broad term. You can't really compare a 300,000km imported 320i auto that's upside down in a paddock in Huntly compared to some of the fine examples here... Like this for example... Gawd, every time I see it... If I had the discretionary money at the time of it's sale I'd own it. Ask the poor owner how many PM's I've sent him in the last year asking to buy it. Kent would be able to tell you!
-
Teh Adolf ones are funny as. I had a few of them which I can't find anymore but damn they were funny.
-
That flavour of cars needs to be red IMO. WD on the photoshop.
-
Haven't driven the GTI but have driven the 4WD R32 and that was tough. My taste on that car would stop with the colour and wheels. They look bloody good in blue aswell.
-
This is fine, just ask every dealer if you can test this on a track before purchase!
