    Virus

I use Nod32, and then run Windows Defender every now and then. Also helps having a decent hardware firewall ... some routers are good at providing protection, but another way is to get a cheap / free old pc and chuck a linux firewall distro on it, like IPCop. Firefox also helps, as does making sure that Windows is fully up to date.

    License Suspended

I thought this was normal driving behaviour I experience this at least 2 to 3 times a week going from upper hutt to wellington city and back again yesterday when it happened, it was a bus that was trying to run me off the road!! last friday it was a trademan, tuesday last week it was another tradesman .... this is why I drive my gf's pulsar to work and only take my beemer out during the quiet times
  5. My temp gauge and right hand half of the rev counter sometimes go really dim ... I just give the dash a quick tap and it's fine again for a while lol
  6. wow that's low km's for an 11 year old car! good to see another E36 welcome

  8. choice, I've been meaning to get some overalls for some time now
  9. I spotted a 740 up in Silverstream on the weekend, had a M3 badge on the left and a 740 badge on the right

    I don't get this

It was this part that I was more curious about - "he must now be freed by law, having served two-thirds of his 11-year sentence" I don't understand why there is a law that states that you must be freed after serving 2/3's of a sentence.
  11. it really needs some big chrome spinners on it!!

    I don't get this

http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/2709...im-turns-eight/ "Baby Kahu's snatcher is about to be freed from prison, despite refusing to take responsibility for his crime that shocked a nation. Terence Traynor failed to win his freedom at every Parole Board hearing during his seven years in prison, however, he must now be freed by law, having served two-thirds of his 11-year sentence." The part I don't get is that, by law, he has to be released because he's served 2/3's of his sentence? Um isn't the point of a sentence is that the prisoner stays in prison for the term of the sentence, unless he / she has proven to a parole board that they can be safely released early?

    Telemarketers

    cheers for the link Bravo
  14. went and purchased the magazine 10 minutes ago thanks to this thread
  15. lol a courier did something similar in the car park at my work - knocked out some electrical box next to the exit, got out and checked his van, then got back in and drove off without trying to find anyone to notify them of the damage he caused This was back when I was a smoker and I used to chat to the security lady quite a bit ... she showed me the camera footage and we had a good laugh before she called the cops

    Rear fog

lol I had no idea there was a bulb in there either! something for me to do this weekend by the sounds of it
  17. glad it wasn't anything too serious the mechanic tried clearing the fault in my car but the airbag light just kept coming back on straight away ... thank goodness for the mechanical warranty!!
  18. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/2671383/Wo...-through-window notice all the dings on the back of the car? lol I like this part of the story - "Initial indications on the cause of the crash are that as the 23-year-old female driver pulled into a car park she was trying to put her sandal on and when pushing her foot in she depressed the car's accelerator, propelling it into the store," police said.
  19. it's an Upper Hutt thing too lolit's how we got all the running gear out of my mate's Celica except we're not classy enough to use a garage ... we just did it on the front yard hahaha
  20. Do it!! 2 door wagon would be very awesome
  21. I had the same problem, fixed under mechanical warranty luckily enough. Ended up being the sensor control unit rather than the sensor mat itself though, but I was told the sensor mat is another common E36 fault (getting a bit sick of hearing that phrase LOL) My airbag warning light was constantly on rather than going out after 3 minutes though.
  22. This seems to be the part where it's all gone wrong. How can they convict someone in their absence? At least here they physically take your licence off you, so you are definitely aware you've been disqualified. That sounds to me like Judge Dredd ... I am the law!!
  23. lasers would be a bit more expensive to replace than spark plugs!!!
  24. lol I thought I may have accidentally changed the text size setting on my computer guess not lol was the time in 24 hour setting before? I'm sure it was ... either that or I am going senile lol
