My thoughts for what they are worth 1. Why specify that upholstery has to be removed? This immediately makes the car ineligible for any other "classic" race series. 2. Why does the car have to be registered and warranted? With no upholstery (see #1) who is going to drive it on the street? 3. Why allow an overbore? I have yet to see a BMW block that needed a rebore, but allowing it means everyone has to do it to gain parity. 4. There was some comment about making the car eligible for Targa. Hmmm. Unlikely aniyone would build one of these cars for this series and then use it for the Targa, where your performance would be compared against thioose in the similar looking but very different performing 325i's, M3's et al. I know that is not what Targa is all about but still... Still, that is not to say it wont be a great series, if there are enough cars. And the cars will look good. Lets see how it goes!

I have one, Carl Why do you want a 323 engine and not a 325? I have a fully reconditioned 325 engine that would bolt straight into your car, you will be threatening my times at Manfeild then...
-
OK, so I will try a Gus trick here. What is it worth for a set of 6 into one headers for E30 325i, and, what is it worth for a genuine M Tech One , front and rear aprons?

A man can never have too many LSD's Carl. I think I only have two, anyway. No wait , maybe three...

I like this car even though I do not use it much. But there is an E36 328 that I have my eye on so this one has to go. Details are, 1988 325i Motorsport, NZ new, 250km, black, 2 door manual, LSD, 15" basketweaves, near new Dunlops, etc. Recent service. Clean, straight, tidy, unmolested car. It does not have the M Tech bodykit fitted, but I have just purchased a kit so this would be available to purchaser. Looking for $6500...

I am keen for two door side panel and skirts, pm me

For the rear springs, you just undo the shocks, lever the suspension arm down and they just sort of fall out!!!
-
Does the gearbox have the holes (or even the blanks) for the motronic sensors?
-
Yeah, but even the dogleg gearboxes do not have the holes for the sensors. I've been down this track too. At $3500 for a dogleg gearbox, maybe I should sell mine? How easy is it to convert early motronic to late motronic (ie, all the stuff at the front?) Even my 525e motor needs the motronic sensors at the rear.

Just purchased from Capital Books in Wellington, was $65, so $80 is a bit much? Good book, already saved me the purchase price in current projects.
-
What width are these please, and do they fit an E30 withour spacers?

This kit will fit all pre face lift E30's except the 325 which has a different front valance to fit the oil cooler.

Are the bits in Welly or Chch?
-
Me too, no panic, just let me know when you are ready

I can sell you a set of BMW Motorsport springs, lower the car probably only 25mm, but good balnace between ride and stiffness, aslo a set of shorter rear shock, $250 the lot, gives you plenty left for some good front inserts bilstein or mornroe or whatever you choose

Just been up Palmy way watching Targa today, no sign of the red M3, and the guy in the white E30 325 was sooooo lucky on the end of one stage, saved by a farmers fence that stopped him tipping over a big drop!!!
-
If Palazzo takes two, I will take the other two.
-
Grrr - I just bought two today!!!
