  1. They look really nice - especially with the black housing as opposed to the chrome. Your car looks really clean - just need to colour code that grey around the bottom.
  2. I've been told varying amounts between 4 & 6 - 2L is quite a big difference!!
  3. That sounds pretty good and it's all genuine stuff. Can some please clear up this for me... How many litres EXACTLY does an early model E36 320i take?
  4. Can I have my 5 seconds back? I like them. The ones I've seen the mose are the BMW Driver Training ones and they look great. Not quite as out there as the E60 5 Series.

    euro plates

I got mine from Stanley, I didn't mind paying the little extra as he was very easy to deal with instead of me doing it. They look great. Would love to know where to get the Euro plate holders from.

    hate it or love it

I've always like the Advanti Moda. :thumb: They'd look a lot better if your car was a bit lower - Jamex will do the trick.

    CHEAP 17" Alpinas

Just found these tonight. Bloody cheap and in good condition - seller probably doesn't know what he's selling. 17" Alpinas
  8. Freighting bumpers etc... is never cheap. They charge on volume - naturally alot more than the weight of the package.

    Fog lights

I usually drive to work in the mornings with my park lights and 'driving' lights on. I see it a safety factor as other vehicles can see me. I always have them on at night too so will keep doing it until I'm told not to. Mine aren't that bad. When driving my dads Discovery though, that's another story. They light up half of Auckland so I could understand that being pulled over. That is actually a pet hate is f#$tard Remuera tractor drivers that insist on having their set of 4 Hella spotties on - that's just ridiculous.
  10. The difference in sound must surely come from the differnces in displacement. Hell some of the Holdens and Fords are nearly 6.0 where as the Audis and BMWs are closer to 4.0. You can't beat the sound of the last M5 V8 or the latest Audi S4's. They're beautiful.

    bmw e36 sedan

There's often cars being wrecked on TradeMe. Have a look on there.
  12. A mate of mine just got the 2 10" sub and amp for his daily hack. They go pretty well, it's always a case of you get what you pay for but in this case it's pretty good bang for your buck.
  13. Thanks for the heads-up. I'm organising a big group of work mates and customers, just found out my parents are going to so it should be a good night. Are the horses actually racing that night? I had to laugh at the free parking, who's going to pay $65 to stay sober when it's all you can eat/drink effectively.
  14. Geez AJ you little forum whore. I've still got to get that middle muffler replaced on my BMW. When's a good time for you? The morning of Saturday 20th would suit me down to a tee... Could you book me in? Thanks, Ryan aka RJ NZHondas.

    hey guys

Hi Claire, my name is Ryan, I drive an E36 and love it. It is an auto but it's great for cruising in the weekends, cruising to work during the week, cruising to the beach... It's all about cruising from A to B and looking good on the way
  16. I'm a product of Escort Car Club... No I'm not joking, my parents met through it. Dad had a wicked Mk1 with a 1600 lotus before getting a 2.0 - I was was conceived so the race cars got sold I've been talking with dad about buying a relatively cheap mk1 or a mk2 Sport and having a play with one, maybe a bit of restoration and some grass-kana. On a side note mum was Auckland champ at womans gymkhana back in the 70's - great teacher for hand brakes They are awesome cars. Can't go past a mk1 Cortina either.

    my e36

I do like those wheels, haven't seen them before. I had my car that low for a fortnight before giving up. The biggest problem I had was actually traction because the camber was so intense there just wasn't enough rubber making contact with the road - it was hella boundy too. My car is now on Jamex superlows and I have clearance issues on speedbumps...
  18. I ALWAYS wear my seatbelts. I find the worst offenders are chicks in my car, they hate putting them on. I often get the bullshit excuse from the back of the E36 - I couldn't find them. I won't drive until they have them on. As they are over 15 it's not my responsibility but if I was in a crash and something happened as a result I'd feel 100% responsible.
  19. 1983 Civic 5dr hatch bright red - 3 speed Hondamatic gearbox ruled - I used it like a tiptronic. Was hit while parked outside Uni and written off as a result. 1986 Prelude white - bought this car for $700, needed $500 rust fixed and it went hard compared to the last car. 2.0 DOHC 5spd. Sold it for $2K. 1991 Prelude silver - the pull of VTEC was too much so I had to get it. Did a fair bit of drag racing in it and a result the gearbox was going down hill fast so I ditched it. 1991 BMW 320i - Car has serious style, girls love it, it has four doors and it's auto - auto is hella good when you spend over an hour everyday in Auckland motorway traffic. Don't hate me for saying this but I will deffinately go back to Hondas after the BMW and I aspire to owning a Rotary at some stage.

    1998 320iA4

Yes it is an auto, 5 speed auto I believe. This is a VERY tidy car.
  21. Not clears as in Altezza's, clears as in M sport style. The rears are VERY costly though. They look good though.
  22. Nice looking ride. I've loved those mags ever since I saw them on the market. Tints and some clear side indicators would look nice too.
  23. Good old westies aye, nice clean looking car there Bex :thumb: Welcome to the club.
  24. As you can see the sidewall has split or rotted away. Not sure why as there is no sign of scraping on the wheel or in the wheel arch area. These tyres have only done 18000kms and have been on the car since December. Will be going back to Federal on Monday morning with a number of questions and will wait for some interesting answers. If I had have left it much longer the two individual splits would have met each other and caused the tyre to actually come off the rim - I do most my driving on the motorway at 100km/h so that would have been messy.
