I bet he filled up with 91 fuel..

The practicality of an E39 touring is amazing. We have owned both the sedan and the wagon and the wagon was in so many ways superior. Its hard to find a nice E39 touring so makes sense to jump on it if you can find one that ticks as many boxes as possible.

Was it a forum member? I think the price was spot on - very reasonable for the spec/mileage

900 if anyone is keen. Absolute bargain with tyres too.

very well priced, would be a great car for someone looking to upgrade from the E46 era. I honestly believe this is the spiritual successor to the E46 330ci in terms of power and handling. Also its more practical being a hatchback.

It has been discussed plenty times in the past in this forum. 1. Different font 2. Reflective round silver fern emblems on the white background missing Causes issues with speed cameras being able to register the plate. Whatever the case is the German plates are novelty plates and not legal for road use in NZ. The stickers I personally don't think is an issue but technically it's not govt issued either if you decide to custom it yourself so maybe it's a bit in the grey area. Use at your own risk of $200 fine.

The other website is https://www.germanplates.com/ The one dave has on his car is from one of these sites and they are technically not legal. However I know he hasnt had any issues with it in many many years. Some people get lucky and some people get caught within weeks.

this thing would be absolutely awesome, especially if one did a normal 3 series front end conversion like brent's track car.

must have been sandwiched on the highway.. what a shame

I used some type of ADOS adhesive from bunnings to do the whole headliner and pillar trims with new fabric on E36's before. very easy to DIY and works great
