    The Wheels Thread

Hi Jon, look at my trademe listing ive just put it up now I only have like.. 3 or 4 sets at the moment..
  5. Another update. What was supposed to be a small upgrade in the looks department - removal of kerbed wheels and putting on some better fitting wheels off a F32 4 series - turned out to make a huge improvement. The reason for that is because of new, wider tyres for the rear and more importantly a much needed wheel alignment (haha) After this was done went for a day trip to Rotorua and it was great. Perfect on the open road. Fuel consumption slightly better reading 10.1km/L instead of 9.8 after the trip. One thing I miss is the sound of the straight six engine.. I really enjoyed the sound of my previous E46 330ci, E39 530i and the E87 130i which was a blast to drive, very similar to this. This is of course much more powerful, way quicker and actually makes great exhaust sounds thanks to the MP exhaust but it doesnt have the engine sound. does make the turbo whistle though which is cool Specs now: 18x8 ET34 - 225 40 18 18x8.5 ET47 - 255 35 18 Previously: 18x7.5 ET45 - 225 40 18 18x8 ET52 - 245 35 18 then 235 40 18 the slightly lower offset fills the guards much better than before but still tucked inside, no stance here sorry.

  9. Dont know anything about it, but genuinely curious as to why you are interested? Super poverty spec E46 sedan with almost no options other than that it is 2005 and nz new with decent kms, not super low not super high. It has a BM workshop license plate surround and sticker under bonnet so maybe give them a ring see if they can tell you anything (usually they dont discuss due to privacy but worth a try if you want)
  10. it says frontal damage so my guess is bumper is no good!
  11. S768A Individual series "Clubsport" - clearly mentioned in VIN build sheet The rear wing not being the standard clubsport model is also correct as per VIN: http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E46-Coupe/Europe/325Ci-M54/R-N/may2005/browse/vehicle_trim/rear_spoiler/ If it had the clubsport rear wing then it would have this in the build sheet: "S754A M Rear spoiler" (like it had on my old velvet blue clubsport 330ci)
  12. Usually when I get an alignment done, I can see a min and max spec for my vehicle and the before and after figures usually end up starting from outside the spec and is fixed so it is within the specs. Looking at your sheet, there are no min/max specs, and there is very little change in before and after so what have they actually done? and it is off center?? lol, that is the bare minimum..
  13. Really proud of our forum seeing this thread. We have a new member here, very little posts, but already made a nice little contribution post to the other newbie asking about first car in the other thread and also managed to get offers for help from complete strangers on this forum with lending tools and advise. What a stark contrast to..
  14. Rx502 it’s in the sale section maybe few pages back
  15. Had two parties view both wanted to buy it but one couldn’t get enough finance and other waiting on insurance payout. Worth the asking price for sure so no thanks to your 5k offer
  16. It’s a M54b25 2.5L 6 cylinder. Better mileage than 328 or 330 but as good imo. Does 10L/100km for city driving. Better on open road for sure. doesnt need any work it’s all sorted and easy enough to maintain. Look on the for sale thread for details
  17. The carbon splitters should be genuine and looks in-line with the CSL model afaik. Also not a fan of the black grills but definitely easily changed. I believe the "whinger" is the same person who was on here recently asking about the E39 M5 and having a go at some of us for not being polite or something. Looks like they have copped a red face feedback as first trade. A+ top class act.
  18. is there anything wrong with say like a 318i M43 1.9L with manual box? I believe these are known to be fairly bulletproof even after 200 odd kms no?
  19. amazing that you are not deterred after all that you have mentioned. Most would have given up already but maybe you expected the worst and was prepared for it. Looks like it has finally got a deserving owner though so all the best in your rebuild plans for the future!
  20. or just buy my one which is sorted cooling system wise, interior and exterior both mint, and is a rare clubsport so will hold value relatively better than the stock boring ones.
