    take this test

I'll probably be a communist by the time Victoria university/Wellington is done with me... For now I'm the definition of average. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Fingers crossed this doesn't turn into a shitstorm like so many political threads
  2. The local VTNZ is my favourite. They're muppets but in the way that benefits me. I had a brake light out and they didn't pick up on it for 3 separate warrant checks over 18 months. It took them 4 checks to pick up my HUGE exhaust leak also. I wonder how loud they think an 80s corona should be. My CV joint is knackered but that doesn't seem to be an issue to them either. And then there's the rear shocks that were so shite I chose to replace on my own accord because I knew they weren't safe. Apparently not an issue for them though. What I think they should consider is quality of tyres. My old semi-expensive BALD dunlops were much grippier/safer than the BRAND NEW POS chinese death traps I replaced them with (wet and dry I sh*t you not). Better an old good quality tyre than a brand new sh*t one.
  3. I'm taking my seat on
  4. I found I could get about 6% better fuel economy with 95 in my car. It easily cancels out the small price difference over 91. I don't know why anyone buys 91 when 95 works out cheaper, is better for your engine and adds power.
  5. A house gets robbed and thugs are driving a BMW! Quick everyone, hoard emergency supplies; it's the beginning of the end! :P :P
  6. Delivered pizza to this gentlemen a few years ago. He graciously invited me in to see the car. Tipped too. A+, would deliver again.
  7. *Runs out to garage to remove fake blow off valve and dash insert*
  8. My Irish mate translated it all for me over summer haha. Have a look at the lyrics, makes the song so much better
  9. What the HELL is that thing that resembles and engine... Holy shite.
  10. I saw this quote somewhere else today. It couldn't be more befitting.
  11. Haha too true. Different sides of the same coin. One of the Dom Post's columns raised a good point today, along the lines of - America shouldn't be celebrating the death of Osama. All his death is, is a reminder of the lives lost to Al Qaeda's and other groups' terrorist attacks. It shouldn't be a time for celebration, but for remembrance of those lost. Celebrating the death of someone who has caused so much pain shouldn't be the response. This isn't a win for the US merely a loss for Terrorism.
  12. Scaled down 5 series.
  13. Sadly there's millions ready to take Osama's place ASAP. This'll make no difference at all. Hell yes.

Haha Ok mate. Next time I'll try not to be such a nark. I am a firm believer in saying absolutely nothing, which I did in response to the officers questions. But you don't realise the circumstances around this. I know the road very well and had absolutely no knowledge of it not being a dead end. Even the cop who got us thought there was no way out. His exact words: "You can either tell me who he is know and get this over quicker or I can go down there and find him myself, there's no way out." I would be surprised if you could find anyone other than people who live on that road who know of the exit out of it. For this reason I thought my mate was ****ed regardless, so making the cop's life harder and trying to escape (what I thought at the time) was an inevitable outcome was a pointless exercise to me. Had I thought he had even the slimmest chance of escape I wouldn't have said a thing. My mate has no hard feelings towards me and said (along with all the other boys with us) if he was put in my situation he would've done the exact same thing. He was extremely surprised when he stumbled upon the way out. There were a number of things I could've done to avoid being nabbed but hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it. edit- dodgy syntax

Live and learn indeed. I think it must depend on the circumstances. I think in my case the cops wanted to throw the book at me somewhat so would have pushed for 6 month suspension to accompany my dangerous driving charge in court; had I gone with that deal.

My mate got a lawyer and I also spoke to him. Couldn't really do a lot for us unfortunately. The lawyer met with the prosecutor on Tuesday and the police were willing to drop the charge to dangerous driving in exchange for a guilty plea, but no more. The cop we encountered is notoriously strict, I heard he once prosecuted his own son for a traffic offence. Dangerous driving carries 6 months suspension + same sort of fines. Only advantage is if you get busted for boy racer offences successive times your car will not be crushed. Here's a LOLworthy article featuring the cop who nabbed us. http://www.bayofplentytimes.co.nz/local/ne...sights/3947732/

Went to court today. I decided to plead guilty. I have been fined $400 + $130 court costs + $50 for some conviction levy. Impound fees were $400 so the grand total is $980. I have lost my licence for 6 months and the prosecutor added on some bullshit clause that means I cannot have any interest in a car for the next 12 months. Which basically means I cannot own one. This seems like a waste of time as the duty solicitor pointed out, as I will just transfer ownership to my old man. The kid in front of me who got done for drink driving was suspended for 6 months but faced fewer fines than me, hmmm. On a side note, that cock Hone Harawira was at court in support of his bros who were arrested over their interference with Petrobras last week.
  18. Never seen this sort of thing before...
  19. My car was broken into 3 times in Kelburn last year. 1st time I lost $600 worth of stereo gear, and a $10 ratchet set. 2nd time they smashed the back triangular window. They stole all the belongings in my car - 1 can of V. Quote from smith and smith of $280 to fix the window. Pick a part enabled me to fix it for $20. 3rd time some little (porirua) shits put their hand through the empty space where a window used to be thanks to the previous scum. They went through the car and found nothing, got startled by someone walking past and one of them left their shirt behind. If it wasn't riddled with BO and could've accommodated the frame of someone above 4'9" I would have kept it.
  20. Yeah apparently you can be done for obstruction. Cop would have to be a complete div though. Maximum $4000 fine or 3 months imprisonment. The objective of lower speeding tolerance is commendable. It is true the roads are full of inattentive mongs driving far too slow. But there are also far too many arrogant, impatient, dangerous drivers on the other side of the coin. This policy is trying to change their attitudes and I'm all for it. So everyone have a bit of patience this weekend and don't expect traffic to be light. I'm terribly sorry you'll have 3 minutes less in the company of your mother in law this Sunday thanks to the 95km/h drive on the way over.
  21. Haha ok. Did you play gt4? It was a piece of crap. Regardless of whether shift is a better game or not, GT5 is a HUGE step up on GT4. There is no comparison between the two games.
