Thats what I thought, until I went in to get the report on hard copy and they suddenly couldn't help due to the fact its a car park.. However in saying that, I have now spoken to two Police Officers in regards to the case and they all said it is in fact classed as a road due to the nature that it Is available for public use at all times.. And that not leaving your details or checking if anyone was hurt is an offence. I will be going back there and asking Police to help if my other method of enlisting help doesn't work.. I will be moving Insurance company after this.. Hung up on me and didn't both to offer assistance. You would think being a customer for over 3 years with no claims and going between full and 3rd party fire and theft over the years would of helped, but nope. I have the other car with State, might move this one over there too.. Just their excess Sucks!

Yeah, was fortunate that two young guys saw it all happen and took the Rego down for me.. They ran in at speed to drag me out from my morning Hot Chocolate to tell me. Thanks to whoever they were! Didn't catch names as they were meant to be at school.. not at McD's haha. Sadly my insurance company don't want any part of it.. I put full insurance on the wrong bloody car :/ Only 3rd Party fire and theft on this as it never leaves my eyes... not for more than 5 minutes anyway! Hoping she is a good sort. Cheers for that, appreciate it. Lucky it's a good old BMW, Any other jap car and I think a bit more bumper munching would of happened..

Sadly pictures are bleh. Doesn't look like much, but took it for a quote for fixing the front and back bumper.. More than $2,900.. Pretty much a neat hole where the towbar went in, boot has been pushed back about 5mm, dent in the spoiler, and due to the car launching onto the curb, damage underneath front bumper. I think it's the fact the respray is so much.. and labour maybe? Eeek. Hoping this can solved in a pleasant manner given the evidence we have against her.

Despite the fact I run the Facebook Page, I don't do any deals on there.. I keep to Trade Me despite their prices.. Safer. Most of the people on there aren't 100% and trying to weed them out is getting hard with over 1600 members.

Yes it's me.. Why?

Bit more of a project as Schnitzel was sadly damaged in a hit and run... Luckily a panelbeater here can try repair bumper and spoiler without having to worry about importing a new one. Yay to idiots who can't drive. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10152275610083937&id=676098936

Cheers for that - I read somewhere on the BMW NZ that is was void once you 'dispose' of the vehicle, but might re-read that one again.
-
Thanks for that - found it when I went on a hunt, does warranty become void as soon as you sell the vehicle?
-
Odd question, but curious if anybody may potentially know the answer. Is BMW warranty on their new cars, globally accepted? Eg: You purchase a brand new BMW from another country, let it move countries with you, and then claim that warranty in another country?? Weird question, but thought no harm in asking if anyone may know the answer. I'm pretty sure it's not a global warranty, but still in the hopes it could be given it's a brand new car.. Not sure dealers would be happy so can see the chances being slim.

Seen this car in the flesh.. Love it.

Love this particular engine, I have heaps of fun driving my 'underpowered' Schnitzer, but at the end of the day it has the perfect amount of up and go when you need it... My is daily and I clock over 850ks a week, generally 1000ks and she has been perfect to run, maintain and has 252,000 ks now. I paid twice what this is beginning of this year, however mine is slightly tuned, and is a genuine ACS Kitted car Honestly, go for it. They are lovely cars and I am not ever planning on selling mine. And if it makes any difference, it can keep up on the 'spirited' cruises... Not that your wife will be doing that though!

Thats why I said it, because for me, I love to just get in and drive, but the technology made you have to sit around and sort it out and then get on with the task at hand. But overall a fantastic car once you work it out

No worries, I understand the broad spectrum of people on here. To be fair, I think it was actually Mike who sent me my first video of the New M3/M4 sound, and not sure if he remembers my reaction but I scoffed at it and laughed. However, in real life it's an awesome sound, but what people don't tend to factor in is that it's not a V8, so don't expect it to sound like that.. None the less, I loved the sound and took back my very strong opinion of this. I am unsure how others were able to attend this, but I was fortunate to attend this day for free on behalf of BMW Nz.

I agree.. I most certainly love a good V8 sound, It's generally my favourite, but the sound of the S55 caught me off guard, it was heaven compared.

Woops, words wrong way around hahahaha. Edit time

I recently went on a BMW NZ M Power Experience Day to test out the New M3 & M4 Out on the Road, On the Track, Skid Pad, Drag Strip Test and Hot Laps.. The Day was first off amazing, having the rare opportunity to not just drive these phenomenal cars, but put them through their paces. I guess my opinion is one to speak it's own, but I shall share it anyway. The M3 & M4.. A True machine. Luxury with a power so pure it's makes my AC Schnitzer look like a Toyota Corolla in Comparison.. I LOVED the fact they have gone back to that Inline 6, the sound was incredible, the performance was sharp, and I felt like BMW created so much power, from such a small start.. Turbos.. Mm. I can't say I am a BIG fan, but I did enjoy them when they kicked in... The power was relatively even considering what they are packing under the hood, I expected a lot more 'lag' but BMW, yet again did something right in that department. Inside the car was another story.. I think it would take me a few weeks of dedicated time to work out half the functions in relation to just driving the darn thing, and then a few more weeks to figure out the internal components for comfort.. Caught off guard multiple times when I was continually asked by this car to confirm I wanted to remove certain features (DSC, Sports Mode etc).. I felt in reality, a car shouldn't ask ME questions.. Other than that, it was comfort to drive, seats were shaped so you felt like you were meant to be in there, the dash was modern, but simple. Handling - I felt it was heavier to drive than most cars, I felt like I had to throw it around a few corners instead of flowing with them.. Something of course I would in no time get used too. Control is amazing, the new technology of safety is one to none.. Considering I tested these cars in the wet, I felt safe.. I felt like it welcomed me into going slightly quicker into a corner than most cars would! And then that look, fierce, unique.. I loved the gold colour, it made you felt like you indeed were driving something worth it's weight in gold. The lines of this car are beautiful, working with it and not against it. This car is truly something to look at. Overall, a complete beast. I felt like this car is and will be the true successor to the E46 M3, and one I will certainly consider in future purchases (given the purchase price isn't half a house!) Cheers to BMW NZ for giving me the chance to go out there and test these beautiful cars. Will upload a video over the next few days..

Smashed windscreen and passanger window. I walked away from that with nothing more than a bloody good lesson from fate
-
Please note the "heavy" sarcasm in that... Jeepers Im a competent driver thank you very much.
-
Haha I live on a farm! All my daughters toys in there, she wasn't in the car. On a better note, here is meh taking control of an M4 with no love from technology, no DSC nothing with full power under there.. Perfecto if ya ask me.. Esp for a women https://vimeo.com/102100120

Well. I had only had my license for a couple of weeks. It was my first car I bought for myself that wasn't half of the BFs and it was a 318is (dont forget that extra power haha) Not being experienced, and never learning how to correct a slide out.. I came around a corner a little to quick in the wet, back end went out and as I tried to correct it, not knowing how, I went over a catseye, slicing my tyre which then directed my car into a concrete wall, hit it, flipped and slid back down the hill I was meant to be going up. I was going so slow that my airbags didnt even deploy.. Although can't trust them at their age anyway... I was NOT charged with anything, despite an investigation because the Police believe the cause of the crash was due to 'environmental' and 'car' errors. Past the point, it can happen. I am fortunate to be an great driver now. And can confidently say that if I can control an M4 on the Skid pad, Id never make that stupid mistake again. Its the driver, not always the car.

Manual? Or Auto?

Now now, I managed to pop an E36 into a concrete wall, flip it onto its roof and slide down a hill.. At 45k.. Yes, its possible..
