  1. This is a bloody hard thing to do, but I am now possibly on the look out for a new car. Has come to the point where I am sick of pouring all my money into a car that doesn't get enough use and is very hard to maintain and afford to run on the track being a full time uni student on a supermarket wage. Need to start being sensible about this but a lot of my time is spent working on the car/trying to fix it on here and my uni marks are suffering as a result, something you don't want paying $4000+ a year. Also, most of you won't know this but my mate drove my e30 yesterday and crashed it, 180'd it into a gutter Not hard, only damage to a wheel and a guard but that was enough to provoke me to think about whether this car will be the death of my license and/or myself, it is plenty fast for me at this point in time. So my Dad is more than likely going to inherit my car to use on the track and I am going to buy a cheap BMW to run and maintain and not modify. So I want something: - Manual - Minimal Rust - 2 or 4 Door - Pref NZ New Cheaper the better, just looking for something to tinker with, be able to handle daily driving and that I can throw my road bike on the back and enjoy. This is probably the worst time to post something like this after Luke just posted a FS thread, but me and him both have agreeing views on what to do in the future in regards to cars/life. I am in no rush to find another car. Don't worry I am keeping the Borbet's if I can find another E30 So leave a post, PM me or text me on 0277405464. Cheers, Nathan
  2. You would hope the dealer.....
  3. ^ I know someone who would pretty much definitely pay 15 for it....
  4. It is a public forum, so deal with it, don't want to bait anyone, then don't post.
  5. It is a sticky: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=14472
  6. ^^ No. It makes it hella badass.
  7. Are manual M10 318i front half driveshafts the same as m40 318i front half driveshafts?

  9. Wow. So being safe now means you are a ricer?
  10. The total diameter of the tyre + wheel on the 17's and the tyre + wheel on the 14's are probably quite similar, so you won't see much difference in drop between the sets of wheel. If you wanted to go lower on the bottle caps, just buy a lower profile tyre. IMO save your money for things that matter or save up for a better car, as I think KSMYRS has in his sig " you can mod a sh*t car but your still left with a fast, sh*t car" or something along those lines, I learn't this the hard way. My 2c.
  11. Pretty sure I saw Brett (3 SERIES) coming the opposite way when I was out in the dirty 30 today on Middleton Rd near Tawa off ramp.
  12. As above, what are they worth? Cheers, Nathan
  13. ^ Did you get the s50 running in time James?
  14. Do you want to sell the rears separate?
  15. Replace that hose would be the first thing I would do.
  16. Run some fuel injector cleaner, check for vacume leaks in any hoses Edit: Surely your m20 isn't carbed? Do you mean the throttle body hoses have a split in them?
  17. Just need the front half, need asap. If anyone has one in Hamilton pm me as the manual conversion I am selling is going there. Need it before this time next week if you have one in Wellington. PM/Post here or text Cheers, Nathan 0277405464
  18. Just saw the ultimate BMW ricer fail in the CBD. What looked like a plain jane e36 318i with the black lower plastic bumpers + sides, led chrome headlights posted a few pages back, chrome tail lights, factory 14' alloys and the piste de resistance - one of those shark fin antennas used on e60 5 series etc, etc it was stuck on the roof with a small led on the back to be used as a brake light. Ultimate fail.
  19. Also a higher ride height will mean less smashed sumps John
  20. ^ Cheers Alex. Tempted to just bite the bullet and buy weaves at this rate, poxy racers taking everything
