    E30 Sump Gaurd

^ I will pay you to make me one too John....
  5. Well out of the garage as a project and into the showroom. Gave the car its first proper clean and wax before the weekend so it is now officially a completed car Currently only at Stage 1 of what I want to do to the car, has so much potential, and progress will be updated here. Made this thread to have a definitive list of everything that has been done to the car and so people who want to do similar modifications to their car can ask or get ideas, also will add track times, photos and progress, obviously it is less of a project and more of a driveable work in progress is the best way to sum it up Comments are welcome, always wanted a showroom thread. Basics: 1985 E30 325i Coupe NZ New Platanengrun Metallic Factory Manual Currently at 305,000km Car is modified for daily driving with suitable modifications to handle spirited driving on and off the track. E30 320i Racecar

^ He is building it to race series spec to join the series
  7. Honestly don't know why you would bother taking it out unless you have a race car. I had manual rack in my old car, would never go back to a non power steer rack in a street car
  8. Thats a sharp looking 316i...looking good man. Next: Loose the tow bar I have some non tow bar bumper mounts if you want. also loose the trims around the number plates.
  9. ^ Cheers Dave, need a set before the 3rd of October
  10. As above to fit an E30, 4x100 stud pattern, ET 15 - 25 (I think?) Don't care if they have curbing etc as they will be race wheels, but no buckles or flat spots. Show me what you have got. Happy to pay for shipping anywhere around NZ, the closer to Wellington the better. Thanks, Nathan
  11. ^ Will be far better than factory, how old are they 1 year? Better than 20+ year old factory shocks. They retail for atleast double what he is asking for them, there we go free plug Jase
  12. Understeer? Wonder how heavy those motors are.
  13. Quoted for eternity. Take that back! Jokes there is a pearlecent yellow one round here with the F1 stripes near me, it looks goregous and sounds even better, happy to say I am a definite fan. Now, to convince Dad to replace one of the Focuses with one
  14. + 1 on lego. or any kind of soccer, rugby ball, cricket set (summer isn't far away) OR a remote control car fond memories of getting my old one stuck in my sisters hair
  15. Imagine how different the list would look if it was top drivers cars Joe Bloggs could afford
  16. ^ Also, don't you get outrageous vibration without spring pads don't know how they make your car stiffer either without them
  17. ^ I brought those exact ones, except the 10mm option, fit as an OEM pad would.
  18. ^ Haha I lol'd. Thanks Simon, will take you for a spin soon as to prove I actually do own a real BMW, I don't just talk about it on here
  19. Some final snaps after eyelid removal and clean. I am stoked and content with how it looks atm, couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Will leave this thread to die since essentially this project is done bar some tidying and general maintenance, for now I will be now stopping working on it and out enjoying it on the road like it deserves, plenty of miles to catch up on after the last year working on cars. A showroom thread will be started in due course. Never really got to say thanks to everyone who helped me with advice, comments and so forth with my old race car and this new one, I am so glad I found this forum, after looking into supercharging my M40 316i back last year haha, I knew nothing about E30's when I started, couldn't even do a oil change, now I can do soooooo much more. You guys have given me an interest in BMW's and mainly E30's which I hope will last for a long, long time, since I have taken everything apart on both of mine Particular thanks must go to: - Paul at Interpart (#14) for all the parts hookups and the stupid phone calls/visits asking the dumb questions probably wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for all your help and knowledge, massively appreciated. - Ian (Hartage) for the majority of e30 parts for both projects. - Pick a Part - Lower Hutt, life saver about 4567797 times for the most random parts I managed to break or lose. - Oli (sydwayz e30) more parts help and stupid questions. - Dan (driftit) for supplying my new favourite E30 There are plenty more, but those are the main people, so thank you bimmersport, hope to see many of you at meets/on the track, all around the country in due course. So thanks everyone, Nathan

^ You don't need a kit when you have a tech1 wing. Nice choice on the bday present sir. They may be common, but atleast it isn't a bad trend like chromes or spinners or underbody neon
