sounds lke you are having all the e34/e32 non maintenance issues .Your latest issue sounds like the LKM ,and or bulbs.Take them all out and check the connectors and make sure thy are all clean and sound. The LKM can be repaired if it is the culprit. Its best to replace bulbs in pairs. The brake light circuit error can sometime be the brake light switch. The coolant system will be alright now if you have bled it properly and the radiator is sound. When you look at ayour stereo be aware the e32 will prolly alrady have an amp in the boot on the lh side. The BMW wiring for the sound system/speakers is a little different to what you know.A bit of research on the internet will have you up to speed. The 750 will cost more to run than the 735,prolly not much more gas than the 735 but it has twice as many of everything else,AND there are fewer people who actually understand them. Sound like you pretty much have got things under control now

Just another newbie... but struggling to make a decision!

i am totally biased towards the BMW too.BUT,the 330 will probably be more expensive to maintain, and parts less readily available aftermarket.BMW tend to make thir engines pretty efficient so it is hard to get more power cheaply. They arent rocketships from a standing start but they will prolly be going faster than you realise.I would try to get a manual..... -
the e34 has a common problem with the lkm,but i dont know if the e39 has the same problem(or the same component)
-
what year and model is your e39?
-
be worth a try wouldnt it...cleaning i mean.could it make it worse?
-
BMWs, dont like worn or cheap tyres.....period.I had some pretty worn tyres(rainmasters I think) on the front of my 535 and i had a really bad shimmy(which came out of no where),tramlining, and noise.New fronts fixed the problem instantly

the turbines are only covers....new covers turn them into throwing stars....
-
be aware that four wheels(and tyres) take up a lot of room...i could only fit two wheels in the boot, the other two had to go(carefully) on the back seat.....
-
i dont beleive how people think they can save a few dollars..I can see it now...sometime during the xmas holidays the battery will finally give up the ghost.I wonder where he will be .He prolly doesnt realise he wont be able to get in.......
-
you need to get onto "shogun" on the e34 site, he has lots of contacts in germany...
-
low voltages even cause strange problems in old e34s!I was going to suggest it was a low voltage condition...Glad it was a easy fix, must have been a bit of a worry!
