Best thing about this is that there was some good racing all through the feild....and promises more for the rest of the season. What are the proposed aero changes for next year.

I thought the update was 00? so a 99 will have all the new lights etc???
-
wonder what the check control says.....low coolant??Aslo due for oil service, but it looks in nice condition!
-

if its here for the motokhana i suspect it may not just be on show. I know my brother and his mates in the 4wd club (he runs a simex) change their wheels when they get to the road end.Its easy for him he runs a flat deck cruiser.

i honestly think the greater torque of the 528 530 would offset the capacity...the only way this would not be true is if you spend lots of time stopped and idling.
-
I was under the impression that a failing pcv is accompanied by clouds of oil smoke...Martyn(penry) had this on the 740...(albeit m62??)
-
probably......i once priced a set of genuine BMW wheels at 750 each plus gst...and that was "on sale" only 17x8 for an old model...
-
agree with cain....the 5 is a very family freindly car,may not have the ultimate load carry capacity as a hatch back but the boot is huge, and the interior comfort for the occupants is unmatched by just about anything this side of a LWB merc, bmw etc ... the middle seat will be akward in anything.Perhaps a bit easier in a big suv type...
-
lweis drove away from them right from the start,ws looking as though Rikonnen was gonna make it interstinguntil he made those two mitakes....amazing how fat he was with a big fuel load and the soft tyres...
-

if an auction closes without meeting reserve can the item be offered only to the bidder(s),or do all the watchers get the offer too? As the seller do you get a list of the watchers(at the end i beleive) or do you just know there are X watchers?

M540i '93-'95 M60 32v V8 - 3982cc 250+ km/h 6.2 sec 282hp / 286bhp 295ft.lbs@4500 Rpm 10.0:1 M5 3.6 '89-'91 S38 24v 6 - 3535cc 250+ km/h 6.3 sec 311hp / 315bhp 265.5ft.lbs@4750 Rpm 10.0:1 M5 3.8 '92-95 S38 24v 6 - 3795cc 250+ km/h 5.9 sec 335hp / 340bhp 295ft.lbs@4750 Rpm 10.5:1 nothing wrong with the output of even a 3.6 M5...note that the 535 although producing 225 ft .lbs of torque develops it at 4000 rpm.Apparently a well tuned 3.8 is very flexible.335bhp is 250kw! E39 M5 still quite dear...more complex than the e34 too.

is it an M5 tho?.....even if it isnt its a lot of car for your money...S38 power...If i was in your shoes Simon i would stick with the V8...If i wanted a M5,I am sorry but it would have to be a proper one...

i changed jobs to be closer to home, 18 ks instead of 40Ks each way, recycle, try to buy stuff with minimal packaging, and only buy new stuff if the old one is broken...I plan to ride the road bike occassionally to work, also looking at pellet burners and solar water heating when we replace our(not so old) HWC (it leaks).I try to combine as many errands as possible when I do take the car,or use the wifes little daihatsu. If we all do a little it will save a lot...think one day alternative transport will reduce your fuel consumption by up to 20 percent!.Think how much of a difference that would make if a significant number of people did that...(and overlaod the public transport system!)
