you might think differently if you owned one (becoming rare) and knew how much some of the parts cost. Some parts are much much more than the std E34,not even thinking about the S38B36
-
right...i am gonna clean mine up and make you ALL jealous...

born here to english mother(war bride) and kiwi father...we were bought up as little englishmen i suppose... Dad had been injured and a v1 had landed in mums back yard so they thought NZ was safer i guess!

he certainly seems to have HUGE ammounts of talent...You may be right about Hamilton and the V8s too,but I am sure you know what i mean. The track(s)are so slow in places and so tight that the smallest mistake by one person can have huge impacts(pun intended) on others.there will always be racing incidents but ....it becomes a battle of attrition. When many forms of motor sport are being regulated to keep costs under control why race on dodgem circuits(i know the answer to that too.)
-
its a joke...that place is no F1 circuit
-
There is a race ready one down here.....silver/gray,he does the open class series ,and he did the opening round of the intermarque too.Its pretty quick i dont thinks its standard
-
the correct size tyre is related directly to the std tyre size for the vehicle.Any decent tyre place will be able to tell you what size,be it plus one or plus two.The overall dia of the tyre should not change so as you go up in wheel size the profile drops.Your owners manual will also have alternative tyre and wheel sizes.

replicas...the real thing only came in 17x8 or 17x9

how can they be 114 and 120 pcd?
-
dont know, but last time i asked they still had the e39 six speed from god knows when.....obviously although a rare car the premium they are asking is too much even for auto phobes like me
-
thats the same place that has(had) the e 39 540 six speed isnt it....they would prolly trade the touring Martyn easy peasy,,drive in one drive out the other..all over and done with in a few minutes....

MR E34 RAPT AT NEW TUNING FIGURES.
kiwi535 replied to mr E34's topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
the main gain prolly comes from the removal of the restrictive butterfly valve type afm...hmmm....... -
the genuine article is a 3 peice item. The wheel itself, the throwing star cover ,and a central cover over the nuts.I would think that the genuine price may be even more than 800 each...PLUS gst
-
i paid $1100 for 4 17x8.5 bbs (with DISH) with good tyres...i WANTED them and felt that was ok value. I would go higher than that for real throwing star, but not reps.Hope that helps.
-
to me its ugly....thats enough isnt it?
-
only two for me, cant decide between E343.8 M5 or e39 M5 the other would be a BMW M1 daily driver BMW boxer cup R1100S
-
gosh there is someone older than me!
-
thats not expensive when i first git my catr i was quoted 450 each (tonys)Cant remember the brand at that time I paid 275 each for my last set of bridgestones
-
i was quoted 310 for some bridgestones but jeff gray recomended tyre clinic and i needed to get the shimmy fixed...so i didnt shop around as much as i normally would. Was most concerned about getting a good alignment and balance done
-
Had a front end shimmy suddenly start again(solved last time with new control arm bushes)Upon inspection the rears were nearly gone so i put the toyo proxes on the back(kept the worn edge on the outside) and new Falkens on the front.Balance and align ,shimmy gone. Will let you know what i think of the Falkens over the next few weeks.Tyre Clinic Fifeshire Ave, $298 each 235 45 17
-
5x120 and "std" offset would be 20mm
-
hey Cain...sorta related. When you were loking at the VW did you consider a SKODA.Was cruiing the car yrds yesterday while the 5 was getting new front tyres etc(shimmy gone!) and was very interested in the skoda octavia combi...2 litre deisel in wait......six speed manual or dsg! 10000 cheaper than VW alternative
