  1. a couple of measurements would have worked the gradient change you could have managed, mind you any speed and the suspension movemnt would take care of that.I would say from looking that he cant really manage any gradient change at all!How does he manage ANY driveway?

  3. the service indicator normally tells you if an oil service or inspection is due.Sercices go pil service ,ins I oil service ,ins II oil....etc Normal interval is about 12000kms.If its just had an oil service a inspection is next. And evry year you should get a clock symbol which indicates an annual service(brake/coolant/safety )
  4. very very few cars are an "investment".You will never get your money "back" on that car.just decide if the price he is asking is worth the premium over what you have.Only you can decide that.
  5. could also be the PCV valve at the rear and top of the engine, parrt of the cranckcase ventilation system..not unknown with the M60 and M62) Ask Martynn i think he has had the same issue with his 740
  6. Daihatsu Sirion, awesome wee car round town...fits into any car park, uses no petrol, light weight, vvti, hills no problem, its really a POS tho.
  7. control arm bushes are the likely culprit, take it to a place that actually works on these things on a daily basis...at least the e34 and e 39 suffer from this
  8. i buy my oil and filter from the dealer, take a couple of "cans" with car club discount prolly one of the cheapest ways to buy synthetic oil,esp when you need 6 litres
  9. castrol 5w 30 full synthetic, run for the full service interval about 12 000 km which is about 150 workdays.
  10. both of those cars have serious camber problems....serious wear on the innside..gosh i thought 235 on 8.5 was a bit too small
  11. yes E 39 tourings arent that common...hope it works out for the better
  12. wow...thats at least three, there was a blue manual one at Page European when I was there the other day
  13. i wouldnt worry Cain,I mean how long are you gonna run at top speed? It will have to be a pretty long straight to let the M60B40 wind out,.....5th??
  14. or 5/6/7 series offset???
  15. yes,he has done a good job on it hasnt he!
  16. i cant quite figure out what he has broken off the engine
  17. "any colour as long as its red"?
  18. i think the inherent balance of the e30 would be slighty upset with that donk Martyn!(someone already said that i think)Go the whole ho and make it a S62 or S72?(the //Mv12)
  19. i am too lazy to do all that crap....M3 all the way, latest possible model(i know f all about e 30s.) As for you guys sticking holden and jap engines in....why,bmw have really high output AND user freindly engines, and remember money is no object....tsk tsk tsk.....heresy(only my opinion of course)

    i need power

unless you want more than 155kw at the flywheel its not worth it.You can get a 535 (and a nice one too) for 4- 6 k maybe even less!

    i need power

look on trademe there are three or four manual 535s now.You could swap some of your gear over onto the newer car...
  22. bmw themselves have different "spring pads".An e34 for example can have 3mm or 9mm spring pads..I guess the only downside is they have to be rather thin otherwise the springs wont stay in.?
