    Ford problems

I think the average punter wouldnt even CONSIDER a Golf let alone a diesel.Despite diesels getting very good press i think the average corrolla buyer would be suspicious of a diesel and equally as suspicious of a golf.

i dont know about that jazz......I dont know what the average punter wants in a vehicle. But 10000000000 corrollas arent sold cos they stand out.

  12. good info there.I sorta knew that I6 were inherently perfectly balanced, didnt know that they were more efficient(thermally),less internal power loss and cheaper to make, compared to a V6.Add to that BMW philosphy of rwd and the reason they stick to I6 is plain to see!

  16. when i was lookin it was a basic cost of US$130 per cubic metre(or part threreoff) in a container through a freight forward agent. There odf course will be shipping from where the wheels are to the ports agriculture, customs maybe gst etc etc etc.....look in the yellow pages for an international freight forwarder /customs agent.....
  17. my mtech two wheel has a horizontal spoke with grips just above that.So i guess i am just above 9 and 3,when i am in cruise mode quite often i have only a thumb and forefinger at six....but thats a habit i am trying to get out of

  19. make sure the bleed plug is not blocked!I was trying to bleed the 535 and bleed plug was blocked.Make sure heater in on full, easier if front of car is slightly elevated, make sure that the overflow tube to expansion tank is not blocked(all m30 based comments!)
  20. May be up very soon,i have some wheels to pick up
  21. ok i will fire a few through....
  22. the events the club are directly associated with are driver training days.Wellington ussually has one round september/october at manfeild .We missed last year cos it clashed with the election,so we may have one earlyish this year. Its all low speed stuff tho.Auckland tend to have a driver training day early in the year at Taupo, and ussually have some "free Laps" later, helmet required if you intend to exceed 100 km hr.The intermarque sprints dont require roll cages but you need a log book, helmet and extinguisher(its good to have an extinguisher anyway!) and there are about six sprints from mid to end of year.
  23. once you get the idea its a very logical sytem...and bmw seem to stick to it.... As well as the quiz a bmw committee member MUST test your 540... I am in the Wellington Club and on the committee.I would like to organise/or have more road car events.A fair few Bimmersporters are also car club members(or is it the other way round) and not surprisingly are often found at road car events held by the club.I will email you some past club newletters if you like.If you do want some send me an email with KIWIPETROLHEAD/CAR CLUB in the subject line. They will be microsoft word documents
