bridgestone also do run flats..Urban work can be hard on edge tyre wear with sharp turns which tends to cant the whole wheel over exposing the edges to wear, add a bit of speed and the outside edge has to cope with that as well.A word of warning tho.In my experience run flats are more expensive than equivalent size non run flats

the e34 looks the part....better than the 3 imho!

can you say that again in english -
how much different? at 200 odd each i wont be replacing mine as a pair, thankyou
-
yes the M30s blow headgaskets no matter how well you look after them. Its the diffferential movement between the alloy head and iron block.Mine did and i changed the coolant regularly and never overheated it E34s 535 have a few well known issues . 90k shimmy = thrust arm bushings weird tail light, fog light.number plate light issues= short in wiring on boot hinge OR electric headlight adjustment motors thirsty cant remeber any more.If you beleive evrey thing you read they are unreliable car but i had mine for many years over 100 000 ks and it let me down only once. I would have a nice manual 535is again tomorrow

hmm sounds like the ol e34 boot hinge wring short issue

what about the middle high level brake light?

looks ok, i dont think the body kit is Schnitzer looks std M tech to me.Interior looks ok and the rest looks very stock.

new cars no wof checks for three years 3=13 yrs annual wof check-13+ every 6 months. Its fine by meEben most 13 yr old cars are stillin good nick these days.....the older ones will have checks every 6 months like now.Thr 13 year thing is actually cars 1st registered before 2000 or similar
-
as shown when the interior of a 20 year old car with 250000 ks is in better condition than a 6 yr old car with 80 000 ks
-
i with you...this is what you pay for when you buy a new car.Its not what each car is worth in parts, its the investment in the design and the tools to make it.Toyota would kill for BMWs brand value...BMW will look to spread some costs over relatively few cars sold
-
the 540 can be made to corner better than stock ones will but you will always be aware its a heavy car compared to the e46.There isnt a much nicer experience than a road trip in a nicely specced 5 series..Unless you are really keen on a 540 try a 530,may be just the compromise you may want.

i think for most people it wont make any difference.Apart from tyres i dont think much will actually change in 6 months. The thre year wofs may prove a problem for sales reps who do big ks,they will wear out tyres before 3 years are up...no one will tell them their tyres are worn out!

First time i have given the car a decent wash for ages, even gave the wheels a bloody good clean, and had a fill up wth 25 c of a litre!
-

nope dont like that prefer the earlier arrangement

if you only need to go a few ks to work or the rail station it would be fine.
-

i am sure i have seen a 335 with difffeent tail lights to the trademe link, was just a glimpse, was a 335 and had bigger taillights edit.....e9(2?) coupe but the view i got made them seem more attractive than they seem to be in pictures on TM
-
i am aware of that and apologise profusely.I am now aware of the truth Was there a e46 version of this car?
-
From my experience run flats 205 55 16 are harsher than 235 45 17.I used to run the e34 at high 30s but the run flats are another step down in ride quality again from that .Replice wheels will be heavier than oem BMW items.I would expect e 60 wheels to be interchangeable between all models. If you run e 39 fitment wheels on a e60 you will need hubcentric rings 74mm vs 72.5 approx hub dia.Replica wheels may all be 74 odd anyway
