There's a pic of it on the forum somewhere. It's legit. Has been discussed in this thread recently. Here

I don't think it's right that people mis-represent goods. I also don't think it's right for online car clubs to hound people selling things on trademe. Don't we all have better things to do? (I suspect I know the answer to this). Discussion is going in circles. End.

Closed, obviously. Dan's had his rant, and you've all had your chance to get on your soap boxes.

I've found some of those smaller sizes are hard to find in any sort of decent width and profile (think MR2 with 14" rims, and a 215 tyre). Toyo seems to have a couple that are OK.

My low mileage, mint condition, manual, NA, targa-top sw20 in red was only $3,500 over a year ago. Only mod is some decent springs. If I hadn't had to get a new rear bumper when the gf forgot to set the handbrake on a hill, it'd still be the mintest near-stock non-turbo MR2 I've ever seen. That said you have to look to see the colour diff on the bumper. Tell him he's dreaming. If anyone wants mine for $4,500 they can have it. Can go into the e39 fund.

The bmwfans.info catalog is the same as the real oem one. It's easier to use, but is occaisionally down. Tada!

+1 That's what I was trying to figure out. She's a beaut tho!

I don't own an m3, but it also came on the 318iS. Link

^+1 E30 owners - mechanics are for people who don't own one. A couple of things I thought of whilst reading through this that may help others. The bad earth you experienced that stopped the car from starting can also be caused by not tightening the starter bolts up properly as it relys on this connection for the earth as hotwire points out. Also, someone else mentioned the correct procedure for checking auto trans fluid - warm gearbox, engine running at idle, flat surface, gearbox in park. Otherwise you won't get a reading.

You adjust it as Nathan says by turning the knurled star wheel with a screw driver through one of the stud holes. When it's loose enough so that the drum is just making contact with the shoes it is adjusted correctly, and you should be able to turn and remove the disc.

Massive thread on these bars with pics here.

+1You're allowed to share contact details on vehicle listings. If the vendor put his ph number in his personal details on his trademe account - it automatically shows up on the listing even. It's not a bad way to get a persons details for another auction - search their previous listings for a vehicle sale and it's all right there. From the TM T's and C's: Tell TM and the vendor to pull their heads in.

I am not Kis. But I like what he has to say!

Moved to FS and more detailed post title added. Good luck with the sale. He's giving it away at that price.

I love the JPS colour scheme! Badass.

Nope, sorry. Would have been around 4-4.30pm on Sunday. Red MR2 with the targa top down. Parked in the gravel carpark at the cove. Cafe was closed so walked to the store and bought an icecream.

Feel your pain mate. I've had a similar bad run with cars this week. 3x new tyres, some damage to one of my front guards. New tyres were larger, rubbed the guard and the paint cracked - so it's going to need a respray, and since that put the bimmer out of action I took my MR2 to Auckland, and about 2km from home on the way back, the pressure plate in the clutch went and won't disengage. So even though its a job I'd normally do myself I need it going ASAP so I'm paying someone to do it (crazy I know! ). Just what I need - $1,500 on cars the week before xmas. Good luck with getting the bonnet sorted. Run it street racer style without one???

What a weekend! So many awesome vehicles on the road... Highlights: A mint Mk I cortina at Caltex, Western Hills Drive Whangarei. Came pulsing into the forecourt. Went and had a chat to the guy, and sure enough has a 12A under the hood. I'm no rotary fan, but this was really different and the guy wasn't a tool, so managed to pull it off. Most interesting car I've seen in ages. Maserati's and Ferraris galore all weekend. An Audi R8 parked opposite yet another Maser GranTurismo on Parnell Rise both in all-white - plate was 0808 About 40 hot rods on Mangawhai Road, and Cove Road near Mangawhai. Mostly 1940's style, but some older and newer too with a bit of 70's Muscle thrown in too. Hard to focus on enjoying the twisties when round every bend is another head-turner. Lowlight: The guy in another Cortina (this time a Mk V) also at Caltex Western Hills Drive who's POS won't run well enough to keep it going at the lights, and who I felt was going to cause an accident if he didn't get it out of the intersection so I jogged over and helped him push it off the road. In bad-boy black with blacked out tails, and lowered on polished rims.

Welcome! Please post pics of your car.

Damn you Heath, beat me to it. Was there this weekend even - lazy drive back from Auckland on Sunday in the MR2 so decided to go play in the twisties just before Langs and stop at the cove for icecream on the beach.

The torsioon bars (or springs if you want to call them that) are different between the standard boot and tech II boot to count for the extra weight of the spoiler. It's not all that heavy, but it has alot of leverage being on the trailing edge of the boot, and the springs are only just strong enough to do the required job. When I did my boot, I swapped the springs over first before installing the spoiler, and it came up so fast I just about smacked myself in the chin when I popped the boot with no spoiler on the back. If you don't have the tech II springs, twisting the standard ones will only be temporary. They will sag again, and its a PITA job to be removing them - you only really want to do it once.

Looks sweet! Is that a mitsi intercooler on the Hilux?
