    Rampant Phase III

Audi is an s4. Keen Nathan. I txtd you on Sat but you didn't text back. Glenn - too late Joseph - glad you found it. As for vids, its hard as I don't have a video camera. trying to get one. My brother-in-law has a dv cam and I have to go and see him and gloat as I got this finished before his 13b rotary Mazda 323 wagon and we were having a friendly race as to who would finish first. So maybe I can organise some decent vids then. Beer count stops once it has a cert and the oil leak is fixed (o-ring on the filter housing dammit). I had a few leaks. Coolant - think I fixed it - loose clip on heater hose I think, but not sure. When the car was on the jack at the front it leaked all over the carpet, but when I investigated, it was leaking in the engine bay too, and not coming from the heater core itself. Stopped leaking into the carpet when the car was level again, so hoping that's the case. I got several turns on the jubilee clip. Powersteer - worn clip on return line I think - have replaced and watching to see if it comes back. Clutch - hoping it was an improperly secured lid on the reservoir, but waiting to see if it leaks again. Going for cert on thurs. Ordering o-ring tomorrow. Driveshaft loop is done. Interior is dry and back together, seats have been cleaned and leather conditioned. Think I fixed a prob with the alarm. Exhaust wrapped the rest of the intake piping as being metal it absorbed heat rather easily and I had lots of wrap left. Mounted a oil-catch-can of sorts. Looking to buy a shiny one. Removed 4.5kg of sound deadening that was unecessary. Beer Count: 86
  2. Vote black. Its the only choice as far as I'm concerned.

I disagree. Low on stock wheels looks semi-ok. High on big rims = super gay. What sort of rims are you looking at getting?
  4. You need to specify 2 or 4 door. They are getting hard to get. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $2k as it took me years to find one, and with the amount of mucking around involved in getting one, I wouldn't let it go cheap. Mine's not for sale by the way.
  5. I'd say its a bit small for that motor. I have the SC14 in my e30 on the 2.5l and wouldn't want smaller based on what I've been reading. Why don't you take a look at an eaton M60 or similar?? Take a look at www.e30tech.com forums and read the forced induction section of the forum. Lots of supercharged m20's. They'd know what pumps enough air for an m30b35.

    Sunday ROFL

Actually lol. A couple of friends of mine gave him and his GF a card which had sex positions drawn on it. So they were trying them out and he slipped, then felt and heard a "pop" and broke his "member" lol!! It went numb, and then swelled up and didn't go down for 2-3 hours. Went to hospital and they've put him off work (no heavy lifting) for 6-8 weeks. The funniest thing is his doctors note which he has to give to his boss says "tried different sexual position injuring penis" I'm dying of laughter every time I think about it. I'm trying to get him to let me scan his doctors note lol. In the meantime here's a cell ph pic. He has it displayed on his fridge lol. I had to share, its just too funny.

I havn't forgotten Alex. I should be at the Anzac cruise. Thanks Scotty, working on the vid thing... Thanks dude and others with nice comments. Makes the deal even sweeter.
  8. Looks awesome. I love the graphic design. the article's a bit pants, but I guess that's not important.

    CTRL-V

    Jesus - ruthless!
  10. Lol. That's pretty funny. Hey Brian, next time NWS warning please. I've added one for you. Cheers.
  11. ROFL at the 80's soundtrack. Also had a rather juvenile chuckle at 1.55.
  12. They must be a total bitch to ride!
  13. Interesting - both our large turbo diesel 4x4's whistle very prominently, as does the very very large turbos on the very very large diesel caterpillars (1000hp each x2) on a boat I spend some time on. Thought it was normal. Excuse my ignorance if it's not.
  14. Fantastic cause, my apologies for not being able to attend. I hope you get some awesome numbers!

    Breakfast news

Oh, and just so the record is straight, I have no issues with the votes in Rebecca or Pieta's favour, but I must say For a guy who's not that into blondes (despite my past history) I do rate Pippa. Nothing like some healthy blokey discussion on a car forum to set the mood don't you think?

Haha I get you Cheers, thought I saw you at Caltex. Sounds so choice. I just want to take it to red line, swap cogs, drop down in speed and do it all again all day. Sooo much fun to drive. I need to find a new source for rear tyres, and really, really NEED a LSD. Problems at idle. I think a visit to Gavin is high on the agenda - such a pain in the arse in town, but man, if it pulls like it does now, I can't wait till the tune is sorted!
  17. +1 Doesn't suffer fools gladly if I'm thinking of the same gent?

    What the

Looks like the little caricatures of cars they draw lol. Cool to look at - lame to drive/own.
  19. I still have my Bilsteins available. $150 plus postage. I'd plan to have them rebuilt at some stage, but will be fine for a start to get you going. They work and no leaks, just should be firmer IMO.
  20. Thanks Incary. That'll help. As far as the seat goes - my sport seats (BMW) rails at the rear are shaped in such a way that you cannot get a socket on the nut. Believe me if it were that easy I'd do it - as you can possibly tell from my build thread I'm not incapable. Apart from this welding, I have done everything myself.

yep - counting down the hours till 4.30pm.
  22. The article says the manufacturer recommends either: 20L sealed box or 28.3L vented with 2x 90mmdia x 660mm long vents. Very small boxes = fairly decent quality sub. I'd just go with the recommendations as I can't find enough info to do my own design properly
  23. Here you go Brian. I'll get that box design to you today.

    Im puzzled

Pleasse don't drive around with the rear ones (orange) on unless it is seriously foggy. They burn the retinas out of the eyes of the driver following you. I am often tempted to rear-end people who have them on just so my eyes get a break. They're bloody awesome for dealing to tail-gaters at night though!

Creaver/_BRS_ need to get my hands on a DV camera and tripod or camerman. James - maybe once they seal it.... I notice you're over the road a fair bit - didn't here me boosting past 2-3 times at 1am this morning did you?? Glenn - I probably drink more than you when I'm working as I don't have to drive home afterwards. I'd hate to add up the hours spent, but at a guess, 60??? So I'm averaging more than a beer an hour. Cert inspection tentatively booked in for Thursday. I'm doing some monitoring at the prison next week, so if that takes longer than it should I'll have to cancel on the certifier as with all the security clearances etc I can't just reschedule the prison work. In which case it'll be the thurs before easter friday. That's if it passes inspection.
