No. Filter, AFM, BOV return, S/C, IC, BOV, TB Stock TB, larger injectors from m30, m30 AFM. At this stage anywya. Will be tweaking it once it's running eventually running link or similar. Running RRFPR, and remapped ecu.

Haha I got given a 15pack for a favour - I intersperse them now and again. it's been 3 weeks and I have 8 to go. The Tuis were also for services rendered, but I don't mind them so much. Summit was on special (plus its pretty good), and Heineken, Grolsch, Stella and Becks are my usuals. Credit crunch plus car bills = cheaper beer for now. BTW the unlabelled bottle was a macs gold I found in the cow water trough a couple of days ago. Must have been there since the last paddock racing. Cap wasn't rusted, and tasted fine - score!
  4. What are you trying to say Graham??? Just kidding - the problem is also partly that people think an alarm install is an alarm install is an alarm install - so they get the most "competitive" price not knowing that that means the crappest job. In my case I think the guy genuinely thought he was doing a good job. It's just his and my definitions of good job were quite different.
  5. I had the exact same problem, and looked much the same after I chose the recommended installer for Dynatron (after contacting them direct) Needless to say I reported back to them and the guy no longer installs for Dynatron. Unfortunately they didn't offer to pay to have the mess cleaned up - I did some myself, so its now reasonable, but not what I'd call "professional". They did however replace a few things for me for free outside the warranty period, so I still recommend Dynatron as a brand, but you need to vet the installers the same as you would anyone working on your car. If possible ask to see previous examples of their work, or look at vehicles currently undergoing work in the workshop.
  6. yup. Can do it by yourself, but easier with two. Do search someone asked this already this week for their brakes, but basically the same, just only 1 bleed valve, not 4.

Careful where you lift the motor from with a jack. If you don't have enough padding/use a block of wood, point loading on the jack cup will crack an alloy sump easy.

    Rampant Phase III

Update: Day 5 & 6 I had some time up my sleeve whilst waiting for parts and a couple of other things, so I decided to modify my factory SA sump guard. It is now SA sump guard LW fuh raze v1.0: And as some of you may know I shaved several litres and 7odd kg off my sub box install by making it 300mm shorter so it didn't take up the entire width of the boot. Obviously this meant a fair bit of redesign and reporting, but the final result is as follows: Then my parts etc arrived, so I could get down to business. So new motor now out of the van, flywheel and clutch installed, gearbox fluids replaced, rear gearbox seal and selector shaft seal replaced, diff fluid changed, box ready to go onto motor: Plus a few pics of the exciting bits for those interested: So motor will go into the car tomorrow night or Saturday (I'm going to a funeral tomorrow so depends on how much we drink at the wake whether I'm in a fit state to use heavy machinery). Once it's in the real work starts cutting holes for the IC piping and making it all work. Stay tuned! Oh, and I know you're all dying to know.... Current beer count: 33
  9. God, I think maybe I finally understand e34's.... Dammit, I can't look at e30's the same right now. I think I'm going to go wash my eyes out with hydrochloric acid and run over my own head.
  10. I like them, esp the hatches with some sort of aero kit and rims, but I'm not a fan of the big eyes.
  11. I wouldn't buy a car if it were the wrong colour. But there are exceptions to the rule of course. That said, I usually have a few acceptable colours rather than 1 single one.
  12. Reason #362: Because sometimes it makes for great comedy.
  13. Unless you were stuck behind a campervan. How many turns is that? Must have been knackered when he was done. Look at the n00bs on the outside of the corners behind the barrier - its not going to save you n00b, and where are you going to run/jump to if a car comes sliding at you? Cool vid.
  14. And the million dollar question - how much?
  15. Oh, so that's only if done remotely. You don't get charged if you push the key fob (or however it works) to unlock the doors etc. What's the story if you want to disconnect the battery to do maintenance? Can you disable the unit to disconnect the batt and not get charged? If the charges are only for commands through the website or text, or whilst the vehicle is armed, then its reasonable, otherwise sounds like a pretty good graft if you ask me.
  16. WTF are you doing with an FTO anyway?
  17. Some capital letters would help! Often, the new owner will be required to pay the back-owed reg, however, I have successfully argued with the post office worker and had it "reset" for me. They would then chase you for it. Either way someone has to pay if it wasn't put on hold.

    BBS RS!

Best wheel cover design in the world - period! They are still OMG WTF?
  19. Likewise, I'll borrow your headers if its easier. : I will do headers eventually, but I want it running as-is first, and will probably want to have a link sorted at the same time to avoid having to retune more than once. Wayne - these are nice headers mate. I hope that you will continue to have these available for awhile. I know I talked to you once late last year about a set, but as you can probably tell, my plans changed somewhat and headers took a backseat for now.
  20. I'm thinking its probably not the suspension itself probably. Likely cause is the loose exhaust or heat shield. If something is loose in the suspension you would notice more fo a clunk than a clink if you know what I mean. Is it a definite clink with the larger bumps or does it end up more of a metallic rattle over smaller bumps.
  21. Hot compact. Gd luck with the sale. Hope you get something cool to replace it.
  22. Fair enough - so it happens as the front wheels hit a bump (say a sped hump?), but not the rear ones?
  23. You've asked a very vague and difficult question. More people than Glenn made helpful suggestions. Sarcasm towards those trying to help you will not get you help in the future. Although I do admit some of the responses are less than helpful (my first one included). I'll repeat my previous advice in detail as maybe I wasn't clear: The information you provide is very scant - you don't say exactly where the sound is coming from. Noises like these are sometimes VERY difficult to find even if you are able to check over the car. Almost impossible to guess over the internet. I could start listing possible things to check but I'd still be here typing next week. It could literally be one of a hundred things. Get a passenger to help determine where the noise is coming from. Go to a garage or a friends, jack it up or put it on the hoist and try and figure it out. Then come back here and thank us for giving you good advice.
