  1. How does this fee system work. Are you charged 2c everytime you stop or start your car? and 50c every time you arm/disarm the alarm??
  2. I like this particular design. It looks as though they may clear my S/C.
  3. Sneaky sneaky James. I didn't even know these were for sale.
  4. Someone was after a GPS unit the other day and walkie talkie always come in handy, so thought I'd post it up. Not sure of quality, features or competitiveness of price, but worth a look. 1-day

    Exhaust Heat Wrap

They do some cool stuff - I like the idea of chromed headers that won't discolour, and have better thermal properties as well! Pity I probably can't justify the expense. $40-80 of heat wrap, although not as pretty is more my budget. It's not exactly a show car.
  6. Yep - that's the point, so if the window is smashed the door still can't be unlocked. +1 vote for locksmith. Esp. since they might charge less as you can drive the car to them.

    Exhaust Heat Wrap

Yeah mate. Never even crossed my mind. I like the discussion - its useful for a change .
  8. Get in the car through another door (spare key?) If you didn't get it to deadlock you can then open the door and pull the trim off, and remove the lock barrell - once it's out of the car you might be able to shake it out of the barrell.

    Exhaust Heat Wrap

I got some heat wrap. Will let you all know how I think its going once the car is running again. Hopefully updating my project thread in the next day or so - waiting on some parts (bolts and seals) and getting a tool machined.
  11. Ask the same question at NZice PJay is a member there too, and all those guys have their fingers on the pulse when it comes to what deals are going on for good quality gear. Edit: fixed link
  12. Sick James. Excellent choice. What size, width, offset?
  13. I use the clear headlight film you cut to size from supercheap. Get the thickest one, cut to size, clean the light with meths or similar, warm it up in front of the light (turned on), then stick to the light using some clear silicone - a very thin amount and don't smear with your fingers. - use gloves if you have to. Sticks on forever, you can't tell they're there and they work. If you don't use silicone they start to peel off fairly quickly.
  14. The third pic is best. If you are going to have your car right in the foreground, then the background has to be either a distant vista, out of focus, or a similar distance from the camera as the car ie right behind it. If the background is interesting and a bit further from the car as in this case, you need to stand further back to get some more landscape in the foreground. Just my very non-expert opinion. I like the look you have going with the headlights and grill.

I wasn't talking to you. Time for the lock. The moderation team and other members are getting tired of the inane rubbish some of you post. This is a car forum, not a dating site, or a chat room, or anything else. The off-topic forum is a place to chat about non-bmw-related topics, but it isn't a chat room. Just so its clear - there was nothing wrong with the original post, but slowly it degraded from a simple "spotted" thread to the usual rubbish. PS. I'm closing this thread now. If anyone disagrees please PM me, or anyone else from the moderation team. We'd be more than happy to discuss the type of content we'd prefer to see on here.
  16. That's an abridged version of the email I have already posted. I was the one who asked the question (in more words than that). Sorry guys, but a busy private life has meant a stall on the campaign, but rest assured I still intend on following through.

Havn't we done this enough times already? This isn't Bebo you know.
  21. It was also tested by bimmersport early on. They came to a Botany Motor Worx do, and the product is good by all accounts.

    Best 2002 pics ever

He probably knew he would be getting a steal at that price and was just pissed off he didn't bag his bargain.
  23. Dynatron with those extras would be around $700+ installed, but if you don't have a cabby, then $500-600 installed without infrared option. (approx) The black hawk system is $1500-2000 from memory plus annual fees, plus you pay for each text. Remember with an alarm, go to a reputable installer. The quality of the install is more important than the alarm as a poorly installed alarm is easy to bypass.

SIRE30. If you have a problem with mitch and want to warn people from dealing wth him, please post a reason. Mitch - I think I can understand you, even if your english is a bit hard to read. Sounds to me like a misunderstanding about a pickup time. This can happen when communications aren't clear. Perhaps you need to take more care when setting up these arrangements when you know your english isn't the best. Time to drop it guys. If someone has an problem with a deal with another bimmersport member that cannot be resolved, please bring it up with admin/mods before posting it up in the public forum - we may be able to sort something out for you.
