It may be the pads are so far down it has tripped the wear sensors which will have to be replaced.

Yup there are two part numbers, If you have the three spoke wheel like me you need the kit 65 71 0 021 159 , This kit induces everything you need to do the job. The other number is 65 71 0 026 223 which is if you have the 4 spoke wheel and the most expensive of the kit as it includes the complete steering wheel. That kits is around the $930 mark.

I asked the parts guy that exact same question and he told me it had every thing needed in it to do the conversion, I was worried i was going to fork out and just get the switch panel and nothing else or just a bunch of wires but he assured me it contained everything. Going to be a few weeks before i have enough $$ to order it but it is the next thing i want to do.

Thats one of the main reasons i am doing it. What i ment by the route though the left hand side i ment from the steering wheel though to the left hand side, Does it just go behind the ac unit ??

Got a price on the full retrofit kit, Was $367 so i am going to do it in a few weeks time, Was it very hard to route what needs to be routed through to the left hand side ??.

Now that i likey very very much, I will have 2 please. , Would not mind seeing the interior though. Interesting to see if it goes into production.

Just a small update, Price is going to be $435USD = $622 NZD. Still not a bad price considering everything. They are not going to be available until the beginning of next month. Once i have got some cash together i am going to get one imported in and then i guess we can take it from there. Of course a full in depth write up and review would be in order. These are true plug and play, I do have to also order though a HVAC relocation kit to move my existing controls down to the sun glass holder to make room for the new system.

No its not to win one lol. But i have come across what appears to be a competitor to this unit. I am still trying to gather as much information as possible. The only place i can find so far that is listing them is here www.szvictortech.com , there listings though are just photo shopped images. But they also do list one for BMW 7-E38/BMW 5-E39/BMW X5-E53. I have found some photo's which show the build quality is not to bad and has a more oem look to it than the dynavin ones. Here are the pictures. Easy enough to find out, Just take the wheel off and make sure the anti rattle clips are propely in place and inspect everything while you are there.

I would like to add this to mine now as well, What sort of price would i be looking at for the retrofit. Its just the upgrade to the multi function steering wheel. This is the wheel i have that i want to upgrade.

Was not worried about adjusting them, Was more curious on the feature, Further research on real oem shows a sensor back and front on the suspension that sets the corresponding level.
