this is my third MT2 diamond black e30 (my 5th black e30) and hopefully my last. IIRC the tweeters come standard with the black headlining and map-lights on a M325i.

Recently I bought a 1989 M325i and its a bit rough so needs a bit of work to get it up to standard. I started by giving it a clean/cut/polish and the paint came up allot better, then followed that with a bit of touch up paint, results....... The interior is pretty mint, only thing I have changed so far is putting a clutch stop in as the clutch is brand new so takes up straight away, will be looking to add a M-Tech2 Steering wheel in the near future..... Going to paint the valve cover black at some stage but the engine is fairly tidy. Will be adding a set of headers in the near future..... So to tackle the car looking a bit shabby I am going to get the front valence painted as it has a rough exterior so lacks shine. Also going to get the bonnet done (so many stone chips) and maybe the front and rear bumpers. Suspension wise I am going to get some lowering springs and new front shocks, surprisingly all the bushes are fresh so I don't have to change anything there. How common is a 3.73 LSD? oh and I have these waiting in the garage to be assembled tonight (picking up the centers today )

I don't really care how many roadworks there are. As long as the roads are getting better, i'm happy. +1 on the teachers thing tho. My sister is becoming a primary school teacher in Australia and her starting wage is more than the top wage of a primary school teacher here in NZ. Don't really care about the petrol price. The only way that it can be made cheaper is by taking the governments tax's of it, that in turn leaves less money for the roads and other things......

talking to JiB, he said when he took the pump off his car it made it rev allot quicker. So yes

thats what I did, only the wires to the starter motor and alternator were a different size (cut them to a prong shape instead of a circle) Also the distributer plug was different but you can swap the female side of the plug out from the other engine. You might not encounter these problems tho, I was taking out a 1983 M20B20 and swapping to a 1987 M20B20

what is the difference between these M20 engines 25 6K 1 25 6E 1 25 6E 2 I know that the 25 represent's the engine capacity and the 6 means 6 cylinder, but the rest is a mystery. EDIT - have answered my own question 6K = 8.8 CR 6E = 9.75 CR

When I swapped in new rear shocks it completely changed the car as the old ones were stuffed. Helps a lot with getting the power down as it used to be like a bouncy castle

The car originally had Air-con but when I swapped the new engine it lacked the pump. So its something I never got round to setting up

still stuck shut, thats one of the jobs to do on my list. Can't figure out why it has a lumpy idle, but it sure has a lot more pull than my engine, which might point to a lumpy cam? It gets the power down heaps better with new rear shocks. Also noticed it doesn't have a rev limiter First thing to be going on the car are the new lips for the rear that should be together next week. Then I going to get the bonnet, boot, front tech2 and maybe the roof painted Then find some Koni Fronts and some lower springs (bushes all look to be newish ) and finally get some of Wayneys headers. Just got to sell my car first:(

After buying it she decided she now doesn't like e30's, so I'm going to hang onto this one and sell my e30.
