    Xenon upgrade

Hey fella, see my sig for the combo I have on my e46. Here are the facts on it. Get 6000k Xenon. I have 8's and while they look hell pretty they aren't as bright as 6000k bulbs Colours: 12000K = Pink ** 10000k = Blue / Pink*** 8000k = White / Blue **** 6000k = White / Purple ***** 4300k = White / Yellow ****** 3800k = Yellow / Orange**** The **** on the end is how bright they are or how much your eyes react to the light. As for the DDE / Cathodes. I have p46 rings (in-built into my head lights) They are pretty much the same colour if not whited than my Xenons. Have a look at my sig .. That also at day time .. so dont let anyone tell you it isnt possible
  8. negative, too big a distance.
  9. Key things with the shots I take is: * Camera: DSLR Olympus e300 8mpx Settings: f3.5, 1/250 shutter, 40-150mm 1:3,5-4,5 Zuiko telephoto. * lighting, lighting, lighting. I take quite a few test shots and move the cars around as much as I can to get it right. Direct sun light is a killer the cameras CCD.I haven't got around to getting a polerisation filter for each lens I have yet. This shot was taken in the shade of a building. You dont blow out the colours. Under exposing and balance is key. Lens hoods rule hell even your hand blocking some refracted light helps. UV is a killer, especailly in gods own. Also overexposing .. any white on the car or loss of detail because of over exposing cannot be fixed in post. * back ground choice for the colour of the car. * lens choice, I have had the camera for 4 years now and have learnt the limitations of my equipment. Cars just look cool with a high zoom for perspective look. * I have been working with photoshop since version 2 and learnt colouring and have worked out the key to saturation / balance / contrast / 'photo filters'. Every thing is done in layers, there is no majic button that makes them look like this. * framing of shot .. even thing is balanced, low and on slight angle. * ... did I say lighting * ohhh yeah .. and a very well done car helps .. "offset bitches!" my camera is getting old ... you can pick up some really nice Canon 450d's for quite cheap which will give you the same result. I have a friend selling one acutally for about 1100 (or something like that.)
  10. Think youll like the front cover shot then. (thats not it)
  11. teaser from one of the final shoots I did today.
  12. No cant say I have ... got a link ?
  13. No dont have headers yet ... the matched ones for the rest of my exhaust system are around $3500 us. My s50 ones Im going to try and keep for the s50. But weather theyll fit without rubbing is going to be another question.
  14. Just throwing something into the discussion here. If that were someone under the age of 25... the media would have already draw its conclusion and dragged it through the shitter by now and for the next 2 weeks. In this article there was not one mention that the guy was just driving too fast. It is also I notice minus a 'set the tone' title.
  15. Good to know! .. thanks The big cost is going to the be the mold. The old man is pretty well hooked up with the sailing community. The cutting process, the parents own/run a CAM/CAD cutter business so can get awesome accuracy with the material. They also have a few people with AutoClave ovens
  16. Dinan supply a bored one to create 9% more airflow.
  17. I'm toying with the idea of creating an intake system for the 330i Around the lines of enlarged 540 throttle body, Carbon fibre intake plenum similar to the CSL / s54 setup. and obviously an ECU remap to suit for m54b30 engines. Semantics aside .. the electronics side of thing is the only real problem I can see with this. e39 TB and sensor ranges/ types. This is probably a question for Glenn more than any body * Main benefits would be about a 10-15hp gain in HP (going by similar Dinan results) * The every important C/F air box induction sound. * under the bonnet looks. * I have the means to accurately industrially cut Carbon fibre patterns from 3d models. * Have several friends who are proficient in solid works * maybe even access to flow dynamics software to test the theory.
  18. Maybe he should take it to you to get serviced ?
  19. lol .... 22's look stupid on any vehicle. You see those new hiluxes rolling them when all they need is some good old BF Goodrich M/T's WAAAAAAAAAAATCHOUT!!!!1111111 POT HOLE!!!!! ahhhhhhhh crap. Good on them for doing it tho. Someone had too.
