6 -8 Gs would get you a _very_ nice suspension setup. The car would be so much more fun to drive.
-
Don't really know much about the d2's .. I'm sure they are a good brand. Just the longevity I would question. Suspension is one of those you pay for what you get type of things. If I had a spare 12k for suspension ... I would actually buy myself a full Öhlins setup ... but yeah .. my KW v2's i'm very impressed with.

Head down to Baviarian Motors in Glenfield and talk to Ernst. he'll sort them out and get the clerances spot on. In my case, I had mine loosened as they were too tight but you get that at 360,000ks

When Ducan and Jock came over to our place earlier this year and I met him for the first time, It was like I'd known him for many years. Is one of those people that everyone gets on with .. Fight it jock mate! I fired him an email to his gmail of the meet yesterday .. tons of photos duncan of all types including the e92 m3. If you could show him for me if hes up to it .. would much appriecaited! hopefully brings a smile to his face

Hate to dissapoint but after the e36 manual conversions became very difficult and not cheap. With the e46, your looking at more than the gearbox and drive shaft change. You'll need to replace sensors in the radiator, looms, gearbox ECU, recode the DME etc etc ... here is the howto thread. I looked at the cost and you're looking around 6-8k Here is _the_ DIY thread on it. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=396320 Its cheaper/easier to buy a manual.

hahaha ... We had some music software delivered from sweden to the house down the road .. lucky the people at the address where honest and didnt open it

ahh right, cheers for the offer ...but I'm done with non forged wheels to be honest. Learnt the hard way with that one several times

hahahah some would put it that way I personally love the sound. I would suggest contacting joeseph at performalink ... they are the importers of Supersprint exhaust's / headers. I will tell you now .. its not going to be cheap. But they are the best option in this country. Just a few things before you start. please keep in mind that you stock exhaust system is quite tunes to the engine and putting on non specific or non m3 tuned exhausts will infact drop your power rating. On a 6 cyclinder engines it takes quite a bit to get the tone right as its very easy to get in cabin "drone" which you _really_ done want. I have a 330i specific superspirnt system on my 330i and while not the horizontal / quad setup youll be going for .. it really has a nice tone right through the range... + it looks the biz. I also got a 7odd HP gain in the topend rev range as I removed the restrictive section between the cats and the secondary.

Some ive processed of mine .... sunlight was very harsh (so need a polarisation filter ) even at 1/4000 shutter speed the camera had issues. New Rezax II full forged works wheels and KW v2 coil overs, eibach sway bars... and oh they did get tested .. Havloc officailly has some of the dopest roads in the country. Will post some more soon

end of the day .... they all make you use the toilet brush afterwards

chief engineers should really not be PR people. If my company moto was, We copied these guys .. and yea we arn't that good and we know it .. but you should buy ours because .... nice marketing buddy. I would always feel like im driving something not quite as good when driving a new lexus. Bit stupid really.

a simple check of the age of a lot of perisible rubbers on the car will give you a good idea of the age of the age (in most cases)

94000 on the 330 (bought it at 40) and is more than fine. Its all to do with weather its been properly serviced. the e30 has 360,000 on the original engine, been serviced and had only two head gaskets done as major work. Still on original rings, pistons and bearings. no blue smoke etc etc .. The only thing that does need doing is the valves .. and thats not exactly a hard thing to get done. With factory service intervals kept and a BMW "Pre-Purchase Inspection" performed for $138 at any local bmw dealer, youll have piece of mind.
