Yeah its really that clean ... hes re-coated / dipped / blasted / painted most things. A lot of that is brand new / replaced with new OEM parts, you get the picture. Here is a photo of his ITBs to give you an idea. hahaha dont think so with the amount of $$ hes just put into it to get it to this point. Engine wise and later down the track hes looking into the whole 2.5 ltr conversion with light weight rods, higher comp low friction light weight pistons , 2.5 ltr head and uprated valve train, dtm ITB's and and uprated cams + a bunch of other tricks. watch this space basically.

It takes a special type of 18 to look good or right on an e46 im affraid, many have tried most have failed. 19's work perfectly with the wheel arch diameter, and the lines flow properly with them. What you need is to decide weather you are going for a stagged setup or same size alround. most go staggered. the size you will need to go to look good and perform a its best for 19 is. 19 x 8.5 fronts on 19x 235 /35% tires 19 x 9.5 rears on 19x 265 /30% tires I cannot stress how important it is to get the right offset. otherwise it will look either sh*t or you will have guard rub. It is possible to not have both (see my qouted post below) The ride isn't harsh... yes you do have to take a bit easier over entries to driveways and avoid pot holes but for the most part its fine. you will need to also go with a new school tire like Falkin fk-452 etc etc as the shamphered tire wall will allow you to sqeeze it under the guards at this offset. see this previous post I did earlier in the week for mine.

Its really funny ... This is going to seem like an aussie bashing post. I have always thought the aussies have had no style when it comes to cars. I thought for the holiday period I might buy a few aussie car mags for reading. And wasn't surprised to see them about about 3 years behind NZ in taste (lack of) and mag wheel design. They _all_ have some form of chrome wheels and fiber glass cheese + horrible paint job to match (candy puke coloured orange) I thought NZ was bad, but after seeing some of the auto salon cars actually picking up their game recently in the style department, aussie seems to be about how much bling you can cram onto a car.

just find someone with a vinyl cutter and get them to do you up a vector / EPS. most sign writers will 'print' (cut) one for f all. I'm still debating the sign writing on the e30 project. Will most likely have the "M POWER" decal on the rear carbon fiber blade. and have sponsorship logos looking like this

nice work mate Very nice example. Well done!

Nope, Basically the hub is set differently I run 4 inch dish in the rear and run 39 offset. This is a 19x9.5 / 30. Its possible because of the conical shaped center mesh / spokes. They taper inwards. If you look at a front e46 CSL wheel you will see it infact has a "wave" in the spoke to give it a more 'inward' look. This technique is used by other wheel manufactures to achieve large dish on higher offset wheels. Find a wheel style you like (for me it was the more classic looking "semi steap dish/lip" instead of my other 19's with dish that were more pie dish looking. But seriously do your research there are plenty of wheels out there and many many different looks. I gave work wheels or performalink a call ... they do some good qaulity stuff and the best thing is .. the own e46's themselves so know what their talking about. as my sig says "Offset bitches!" ... it really is all in the offset ... you can have any wheel design you like really. here is mine.

E46 & E36 suspension & transmission problems
hybrid replied to tonylauno1's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Hi, I've had the loss of reverse gear in my auto. Its a design flaw in the auto box pistons... Cost me 6000NZD to fix as I had to get the whole box refreshed (clutches / pistons). The only way around this is preventivly getting the defective piston replaced or just get mechanical insurance ... sorted. The subframe vs unibody issue is only and issue if you run excessively low / tight suspension. Its much of a non issue and there is no reason to get the problem happening if you lower your car properly in the first place. I have had both lowering springs (about 50mm) and now coil overs ... and have no issue. -
on the hush ... do a search around for the "bmw WDS" cd. It has most bmw pin outs and wiring diagrams. Wouldnt of been able to achieve electrically in the e46 with out it.

For the e30 series cars you need to run the stock ECU ... however, open series car... talk to Andrew Timms (Andrew on this forum) he is running one in his and has the modified injector setup you need.

Not to bring thing off topic too much, but you do know that the setup and object of drift is to actually create as much grip and stability and therefore control as possible. They use the amount of inertia and momentum to break traction not the suspension... There several floors in your way of think fella and while you know your sh*t, it is also very closed minded.
