Correct ... Will post an update when this phase is done .. hopefully in the next week or two ... We have been waiting a long time for parts to turn up from overseas (mainly NZ suppliers not having stock and shipping bits) and also a gammy jack that has to go back _yet_ again with faulty valves. Still have to go and get the new brake lines made up and actually attach the new front struts to the car.. but apart from that is looking real good.

plus plus and a version of these and and (shocks purchased in NZ) was about $3100 (incl shocks) landed with tax all up.

Shocks were just over a thousand, eibachs were part of the kit made for the the ground control "coil over system" kit (and yes from over seas (bimmerworld.com).. but you can get regular ones and not so stiff. We went for pretty stiff springs for hard street and good alround track use. hence the 525/700 split .. when the car goes down the drag strip we will use 500 pound for the rear instead. you could do 375/550 for a nice sporty feel ? DTM cars run 1000/1200.

We have just done Koni adjustibles and Eibach springs. 525 pound front 700 pound rears. We are also using the ground control adjustible coil over kit and ground control camber / castor plates adjustible rear top mount and uprated control arm bushes and connecting rods. But you dont need all this extra stuff.

I forget where I read it, but if you change the speakers you have to change the amps as well. There is an after market converter kit out somewhere which converts the signal from the stock head unit to normal line level

I managed 20k out of my 265/30 rears and 235/35 fronts. That was over a year and I still had legal limit on them. Alot of town driving. I leave traction control on (except on bimmersport meets )

Was taken down to look at it as part of this e30 project we are doing by the BMW parts guy at jerry's. It is in awesome condition. But as Doug says, he owns one that is in better condition (basically new) and he paid 50k for his. So there is no way it worth over this .. Unless money is no object. who knows, someone might just buy it for close to what they want.

Um .. am I missing something here ?! ... it doesnt matter what _their_ insurance company thinks ... they have to fix it what ever the cost! .. doesnt matter if they want to write off .. tell them f**k off .. youll take it to a place to get it fixed .. and this is what its going to cost them. they pay ... end of story .. I thought I was reading this the other way around, where your insurance co was saying this ... If your in AK ... give percision autowerks a phone .. they will see you right and get it repaired back to mint.
