Haven't got to the certing stuff yet .. will most likely go with who ever fabricators recommend. Precision Autowerks only did the panel work on the 330. ohhh something I forgot to add... we have uprated the brake booster to a audi 25mm v8 88 master cyclinder (new) and so the intake plenium will fit. And used a golf 1.3 mkII booster (second hand). .. the 1.3 mkII booster was a bitch to find .. as they didnt bring those versions to NZ.

hehe nah dude, my hat goes off to anyone who modifies their cars to what ever level .. its all a learning process .. and good to see we now have a bunch of modded e30's in NZ now

the engine (yet to be worked on) in its N/A state. s50b32 once all the work is done N/A at the 8:5 1 compression ratio should be doing about 300 odd bhp Still looking into the flow rates but it starting to look like a GT42r Garret turbo will be the juice for a solid 800-820 +bhp (the end goal)

more ... (rear m-coupe trailing arm setup,m-coupe floating rear brakes, ground control kit and koni's / eibachs) and the adjustible camber / castor top plates.

Finally got around to posting some pics up of the 5 lug conversion. (phase 1) As some of you may know brendon and myself play in a band .. and we have been touring all summer so have only just had time to get back onto the car project. All the parts had arrived from the states etc etc Here is the new Wilwood SL-6 (6 pot) calipers and rotors, The Eibach / Koni and ground control setup in full flight. M-Coupe rear trailing arms / diff these are my old 330i wheels allowing the car to roll around between workshops in the engine / fabrication and body shop phases. The final wheels will be a custom 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 et15 setup. Here are some images. More to come.

The 6 looked nothing like the old 6 either .. its progression ... What will happen is the 8 series will be the new flagship for BMW. Like the 7 series was the beacon for the current BMW design flow ... this 8 will hint on what to expect in the next generation of BMWs ... exciting times .. I for one have been wanting BMW to make a big GT tourer to compete with the likes of bently / ferrari etc as the 6 series sort of fell short of that ... 600 hp v12 anyone?

These guys are the one apparently .. I have a 10 day turn around on mine .. back to rollin the standard 17's for a little bit.

Im getting them all completely re-furbished to new .. as my clear coat has had a hard life .. and I want it mint again .. so I can go through all this again next year ... (can you tell im dark at the council again)

hey ya, .. nice car dude ! There is a few good things you can do.. mild to wild as usual with any car. I would start with headers and exhaust system first .. there are some nice systems around .. super sprint do an awesome header setup for them .. but they aren’t cheap Next would be your intake system, start with a cold air system Dinan do a good one for the e46... carbon fibre too next inline would be you throttle body, you can actually use the e36 m3 system on these and ditch the fly by wire throttle in favour for a cable one. its a little expensive .. but done the right way can give you good gains. There are various after market ECU remaps and the likes you can get. but as always with N/A it gets more and more expensive the more HP you want. These are all in the NA realm ... but the other way is with a super charger .. you'd be able to get about 100 more HP at around 5800-6000 RPM. Remember while a good gain .. central fugal supercharger power which only reaches its peak in the high rev bands. other things would be .. change out to a custom LSD diff and better ratio, this will reduce your top speed vs. rev ratio .. but gives you more acceleration personally I think you will have more fun spending money a on good suspension setup.

yo sam ... Im sending my rims in _AGAIN!!!!_ because of _another_ pot hole on esmond road (no where near as bad) to these guys ... http://www.brugar.co.nz/welding.htm and spotted something you might be after

Interesting. For the weight of the car you actually can go too wide in the tire stakes.. it actually means sometimes (depending on rubber compound) that you have less grip due to weight displacement. (works the same way a boat does). looks like it track only anyways so soft compound will be fine.

e30 325i suspension upgrades?
hybrid replied to Apex Effects's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
you really should be running about 16mm offset for BBK and wide wheels to counter it ... in other words custom .. -
