Bit of a weird one. Ive been told 3 series springs will fit another application im looking at but im not sure which springs they are talking about other than they are 6 cyl springs. So does any have or can take measurments for e30 and e36 springs. Need diameter top. Diameter bottom. Free length. And if possible spring rate and length of spring compressed on struts. Any help much appreciated.

I like the race pads i have in my car. But oh my god if they would stop squeaking id be soo happy. Cold slow use in town people look at you with that look like you need to maintain your car better and clean your wheels. That look goes right to the soul.

The hawks sound like a good choice. Amber yoy say you last bushes failed quickly. Were they oem? If they were i wonder if thet were torqued up with the suspension hanging. Many of those bushes the center fixes in place so the car must have the weight on the wheels before torquing otherwise it over stresses the bush and tears it.

Cant change it now anyway. Just stick to good intervals with good oil from now. But i would expect they would have changed it as they usually flush out the lines to rid any metal shaving that may be present if the turbos were failing.

Ds2.11 has been replaced by DSUNO Ds2500 will be the best ferodo pad that is still road compatable. Though they will squeak alot when cold. I would also recomend braided brake lines to improve feel.

I tried but their online system is retarded. Kept telling me my internet explorer was to old. Despite being the newest version. Im.not an ie person but its all they use. Anyway. How much it.go for?

Brake fluid flush required after new pads?

Nothing to do with pads but recomended to change every two years. Just convieniant while the brakes are being done. -
Ebc have a good rep over seas but have seen them falling apart with hard use on track. And in cars much lighter than an e46. That was ebc yellow which is their rave pad.

E39 Coolant Leak (Video) - Is this from the radiator?
yng_750 replied to Arma's topic in Maintenance
An overfill bottle will dribble out a little when hot. Suck out some water and see if leak stos. -
Motul rbf 600 is also sold as trd race brake fluid. Or trd sport brake fluid. Depending on market Same stuff just different sticker on bottle. Can be had from toyota dealer for around $22 per 500ml. Look on trademe as some dealers sell on there too

Compession locks very easily

Agree. ^ Real simple either too little rear traction. Which coulc be over stiff or dynamic camber\ toe change. This can be made worse by to much dive under brales from a soft front end. Or too much resistance from the engine. More than likely from bad down shifting. Are you using the clutch to speed up the engine?. If its suspension you have bigger handling issues afoot. If its from bad down shifts you will be about to destroy your clutch etc anyway. So learn to heel toe. -
I thought the hard part was that the lens is glued in rather than clipped together lile pfl

Anyone missing a tree? -
If the dash/interior lights dim then theres not enough power to engage starter. If they dont dim its not engaging. Likely an issue with the starter itself. But could be switch etc
-
The dash readout are sometimes delayed from.actual readings to stop fast changes. When i changed my outside thermometer it took two days to go from negative 60 up to actual temp. Though hidden functions showed it straight away.

yup bad sender. guessing its the right hand one. heres a guide to removing. http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/BMW-5-Series-E39/82-FUEL-Fuel_Pump_Sender_Removal/82-FUEL-Fuel_Pump_Sender_Removal.htm pulling the plugs out should reveal if the sender has an break or if the wiring is buggered. not sure if they are fixable or just need replacement
-
That sucks. Guess door, guard and mirror. Doable as a diy but paint will be the clincher.
-
Go into the obc hidden functions and view fuel level. Google how to access it. Should show readout from each of the two senders. See if one reads zero. If its reading half it makes sense that one sender has failed.

Kyu. In reality if you keep paying nothing goes wrong for either party
