3-4. Need a.good male hex socket set as using allen keys is for peasants. Dont forget the wear sensor may need doing.

Judging by the second 4 being wonky id say its been changed

Sorry didnt see the part about one owner low kms. Still prob not a 10k car. The just arent that rare unless it turned out to be a genuine full ac schnitzer car which is unlikely.
-
It will be a 540i all of which had a 4.4l. As far as schnitzer its probably a standard car with a couple of badges and maybe a bodykit added. 540i range from 2k - 6k usually for that age. Newer ones up to 13ish. Be very cautious paying extra for the owners claims its a genuine schnitzer... They apparently all are according to what sellers say but its not worth squat.

Basically a 5w40 will be a touch thicker than the 5w30 when hot. this will effectivly mean less pressure loss if it over heats as it has more viscosity to lose. Not sure about particular brands but sticking fully synthetic is a must on track at those temps. Most of those oils are rated for longer than 5k drain intervals but thats up to you if you want to spend a bit more and keep it cleaner by draining more often.

Yea me too. If its leaking badly check it doesnt have scoring or pitting on the shaft. This can keep leaks going even with new seals. Dont know much about where to buy seals or rebuild kits sorry.
-
+1. Just make sure that engine rebuild was done by someone reputable. And why they had to do it.

Three items. Power. Reliability. Cheap. Pick any two.

Very nice.

Best racing ive seen lately is the 2kcup. Admitedly from.the drivers seat but awesone racing with huge close fields.

My 540i had the push button on the boot stick so it was always activated. Kept it unlatched. Unplug that switch and see what happens. You can still use in car switch.

Oh nice. Running in means you havent used the adjustable lift control for controling how far the front wheel comes off the ground?
-
If the headlights are out of alignment due to you having the dial set to point down then thats your fault for running it on the wrong setting. Regardless of if its adjustable where it is pointing now is unsafe. Its your job not theirs to use that stuff. Be happy its an easy fix. Poor focus can be dirty or faded lens, dirty reflector cone or bulb out of alignment inside the reflector.

Nobody has ever had a thousand dollar plumbers bill from buying a lotto ticket though.

Those engines are prone to tappet noise. Have adjusted them before, hated that job

Mine did it similar when the ccv valve went. Google ccv valve dipstick test

Dahlgren came with the brand sponsorship. Volvo want a reason to show the v8s in sweden
-
Yea but it cant have taken long to learn " have you tried turning it off and on again" plenty of time to learn other skills.
-
Plus a master cylinder conversion.

Some consideration i think must be given that 20-30 years ago when men were men a young could might happily look at a cheaper run down place and do it up diy. He can fix the house and she does gardens etc. Now first home buyers want a renovated house in good order ready for them to turn up and plug in the coffee machine. something thats never been that affordable really. If you arent handy the cost of builders is too high these days to get a crap house tip top. Bring back proper education in schools i say.

Running out of fuel after resetting the lap record 4 times while beimg told to slow is pure arrogance.
