They will retract in time. From dead cold do test again starting at the other end. If you can get your low cylinders showing higher that should give you enough piece of mind
-
And finally i tested a motor with a cracked head. Read 185psi on good cylinders and 30-40 on the bad ones. So a major variance of over 150psi

I have also been told to take plugs out. Reinstall them, run the engine for a min then remove again. This apparently clears any carbon that flakes off when removing plugs which can slightly keep valves open. Ive never bothered due to the time it takes but just a thought

Was the throttle fully open during testing? Was the cranking slowing down due to battery drain?

Supercheap does good ones. Have bought their prices down to match competitors like repco etc but are the only cheap brands that actually test and meet the more strict voluntary standards. So more piece of mind. Get a wide jack wo Ith wide wheels. Wont topple and doesnt sink into softer ground. Also dont forget axle stands. If you are transporting alot consider an alloy jack.

Good score. Remove chunky gps box from boot. Buy a tomtom. Only cheap way out and you get a better system out of it. Dont forget to move boot light from gps box to frame above it.

Love it

Better oils handle the shock more. For a dd any new oil will be an advantage over old crap. Diffs are pretty standard unless it has a plate type lsd. Then you need lsd oil. For gearboxes some cars habe to use gl4 as the later gl5 has a higher sulfur content which erodes the brass syncros. I know it affects toyotas and hondas up till early 2000s but not sure with euro cars.

There we go. Avoid light throttle driving...

Same money it could have had a rebuilt engine with a supercharger and m5 rear end. Which might be worth closer to 30k

Can it run properly without o2s. Thought they were a huge part of fuel mapping.

Most wheel shops. Some sizes are hard to come by especially if the difference is only a few mm. Stick to plastic if possible they are plenty strong and dont get stuck like alloy.

As said if you can open the bonnet put jumper lead on the jump points to power up the car. Have also seen power supplied by hooking leads up to the starter from underneath but at best this is much harder and some cars just impossible.

Its a very clever selling technique called " the wife told me i have try sell the car but she didnt say how hard i have to try"

Yup amazingly handy. I tried a few. Best bet buy a cheap unit, mine was a supercheapauto rockwell for $65 then go out and buy the name brand blades. All fairly multifit as the rockwell comes with adaptors. Rockwell had a two year warrenty and ive given it hell with no issues. Original blade wore down quickly new bosch blades are doing great.

Good call. Heaps of cat6 and 8 or so power points behind the tv area. Always a good upgrade

Been discussed before. Has come down in price since then. Has had amazing care and attention spent on it. When he says new engine and gearbox he means brand new crate items from the factory. Replaced just because the old one had worn in. Well priced but small market. Similar priced to an m5. So choice is m5 with 100,000kms or a 540i with 5000kms

Good work. Ive done few bits since buying a house. Redid the soffit board down one side of the house as it had cracked. Made much much harder by box internal gutters. Timber is only 20 years old but is from the hottest part of the roof. As mentioned its rock hard stuff once it dries out that much. After bending some nails i changed to pre drilling and using stainless screws. Much more expensive but on a small job makes it easier. Hate nailing overhead.

Pull the cog out as far as possible then turn it. You should be able to drive the motor if the gears are connected.

Quoting wikipedia... Thats a paddling

Does anyone do a 240v impact wrench. I dont always need portability and battery life is a limit i could do without.

My mother in law got a volvo which included a 1 year autosure warranty. We extended it to three years amd the dealer just charged us what it cost him. Very easy process
