yea will talk to dealer tomorow and get them to ship me one. it appears the radiator has been replaced and they reused that tiny piece. hard to tell when the old one has crumbled but im not sure if the tabs on the radiator are broken. they are both square and even height but dont have any notches on them to hold the nipple in. there is apparently a good plastic welder here in taupo so if its not held in securly enough i will get it welded in. will have to walk for next few days

looking to see if anyone sells the little vent nipple that plugs into the passenger side of the radiator and connects to the expansion tank hose. mine has crumbled. Radiator appears to be new but the nipple is old as hell. part number on pelican parts is 17-11-0-419-132-M6 BMW part number is 17110419132

seems to be quite abit going around taupo expect to start on 40K doing nothing at all that requires a qualification if you work hard you go up quick 65k in a year or so makes getting a job in OZ easier if you are already employed PLUS RACETRACK

some exhaust sytems can hold alot of water but normaly in the rear box which wouldnt steam often how clean is the exhaust manifold?, any steam cleaning on the inside of any ports? i had a uv dye and led that lit it up, made the tiniest flaw look like a snapped rod though often you have to get the head planed to see the actual cracks andget rid of the surface tarnishing or if its clean give it a good polish with autosol and crack will pop up

how the F**k did this sell for 4K i bought a mint 540i for 7k this one is probably a write off if the a pillar is bent also to quote them The passanger side front door needs replacing as it was hit pretty hard.It still opens and closes. then The car is also pink stickered as the A piller has had a hard hit and the door will not close.

suddenly feel lucky to have gotten a liner, duct and temp sensor for $14 from pick a part i used new stainless screws with huge washers to stop mine ripping out if it hits something again

sounds like an air lock best case your coolant was normal temp and ran away from the sensor on acceleration allowing it to heat soak from the block worst case you coolant was overheating and accelerating was the only time it touched the sensor e39 can be troublesome seriously recommend getting it properly checked out as the costs otherwise if it blows can be stupidly high

depends how you drive it synthetics handle the heat of a turbo core better but a thin oil will still burn in the engine if the rings are loosening off etc i would go for something around a 15w but go for as high of a second figure as possible penrite do a 15w50 or 15w60 at supercheap the higher second number speaks to its stability so it will handle the heat better if its around town or open road with the occasional blast go a 15w50 or so preferably penrite semi synthetic if its getting a good thrashing all the time go full synthetic 10w50 and just put up with it if it uses oil Cliffs semi synthetics now are better than full synthetics were 10 years ago

didnt watch the vid as im at work but the ohm values look about right if they break the values should be way out either no resistance or no circuit at all i got mine 2nd hand and it was fairly cheap car started first pop afterwards

more than likely the crank position or cam position sensor my e38 740il did the same thing the lead for the front crank sensor runs under the top plastic cover, so you can unplug it and test the resistance easy enough not sure what the resistance should be but i found it on google easily when i tested mine
