i dont really know about the E39 much, but when all sorts of things go crazy at once on E34 its usually the General Module playing up, maybe not clipped in correctly etc

My knowledge on the 2.7 swap is a bit rusty these days, but im pretty sure the M20B20 and M20 B27 heads are the same casting (less bearings in the 2.7 tho??), and the 2.5L use a bigger and better head, would be better to either swap a whole B25 in the hole, or B27 bottom and B25 top. The other complication is if your car is Jetronic or Motronic.

The M20B25 is a great engine don't get me wrong, but if you are doing that level of work why not put a M5x in the hole?

oh i should also say, i see WAY more 5 and 5S come through work than i did of the 4 and 4S when they were the biggest thing. They are more prone to failure. (I run an ewaste recycling company here in wellington) I would be buying a 4S and try to keep it on iOS 6, 7 really bogs the 4S down.

As far as for a phone and messaging goes, Android, windows and iOS are all sh*t, iOS is just less sh*t, though the new windows OS dear i say it seems functional for the 5 minutes i have used it. But everything in my house is Apple, so its all the added value i get like AirPlay, full speed WiFi etc that makes the iOS more attractive. That said, an iOS phone would be just as overpriced junk in an environment with no other Apple gear as an Android phone would be here. getting locked into whatever you have is very real. Moved from my Android work phone to iOS and lost almost all my contacts. they are all backed up on iTunes now, so i will happily pay the $1-200 premium for an iPhone over an Android just to do without the loss of customer data etc. This, have used it many times both personally and for work.

personally I am a big fan of the woodgrain look in my E34 (brings the exterior red into the car) , but that does look very attractive, and its a no brainer in most cars!

have got some GMs, RMs here you can try if needed. Will be up your way in the next month or so. also check the window buttons by the hand brake, if i recall correctly they are the same as E32 type so you should be able to swap those over. I have seen that before on on of my E34 projects gone now

Have a parts car im stripping down, want to keep the front and rear windows from it. is the cheese wire method the best one to use? what wire etc would i use and where to get it from? or am i best to get them professionally done using a mobile guy?

Yeah, but we are saying why they aren't offering them new. If im dropping $80-200k on a new BMW, i couldnt care less that the third owner cant afford to rebuild or source a decent transmission, nor do i care that he would prefer a manual transmission etc.
