  1. i dont know why people always assume that. A bit like the Singapore electrical issues. Sure there are some, enough to make the connection, but it doesnt mean they are all like that. My wagon is a UK import, was there for 6 years before coming here, no rust on it at all, and the only rust that ever has been taken out of it was around the windscreen from a poor windscreen replacement, nothing to do with salty roads. I've had a few UK E30s too, and while i dont know the history as well, there was no rust on those either.
  2. look look at that E34 service manual, the E34s in the picture are lowered like 3 inches from the actual car lol
  3. BNT will have in stock waste of time buying second hand and always important to use a new master as well, or again, you are wasting your time. hope this helps
  4. get under the car, and have a look at the rear cover of the diff, you should see a metal tag on it about 2 inches long, it will say the letter S if it is an LSD eg S3.76 is a 1:3.76 ratio LSD like this
  5. i use this resource, work out what DME/ECU you have at the top of the page, and go to the appropriate section. http://endtuning.com/bmwcodes.html looks like your engine uses the MSS52 version which is shortcut link below. http://endtuning.com/bmwcodes.html#MSS52 So i agree with Allan based on that
  6. no problem, its very tidy.
  7. wow that is epic Brent! Glenn, i have a friend (in his 40s) selling a Bedford Ambulance, pretty sure its a facelifted CF 1980s model. done plenty of work to the engine, and has been dailying/living in it since about June. wanting $6500ono but i think it will come as a blank canvas in the back to do what you want. let me know if interested
  8. Cheers Mate i need to do another update very soon. Engine is all back together now, while it was all apart i noticed one of the throttle bodys on on side (drivers side for the passengers side bank) isnt opening and closing as freely as it should. idle has always been a little rougher than it should be, and there is no idle valves on this motor, its all done through the throttle, so i would say it probably is my cause. once its all back running correctly again, cant wait to get out and about in it, havent really driven it for over half a year now lol
  9. hard choice to say which car i would rather be in!! At least there is a boat available for you to get on lol
  10. Fini Finished removing everything holding the M20 auto into the parts car, all ready to remove tomorrow morning
  11. how did you not notice when you torqued it right up??? you will need to get behind the wheel 180degrees from where it is hitting the trailing arm, (so invisible line from where it is hitting the trailing arm, through the hub, to the other edge of the wheel) and use the trailing arm as the pivot point rather than the hub. probably the only way it will come off. failing that, a bit whorey, but you could try putting the car in drive, and letting the wheel spin and pop it self off. unlikely to break anything, but not exactly the mechanics method...
  12. Cheers Jason, appreciate your help!!!
  13. doesnt look like enough to write that off???? Michael, dont worry about the exhaust off this car, just put the whole engine in the E36 mate
  14. i actually cant even think of any car that would run that combo 17x8.5 et12 17x10 et28 sounds like a missmatched set of wheels????
  15. that should be fine, my schnitzers are 17"x8.5 et13, so only 1mm diffference in offset. but the 17"x10" et28 should be surprised if it will work, probably need to be in the et0-10 range i should think. and there is no difference between touring and sedan, all the suspension is the same between both, body contours the same in the wheel well area etc etc...
  16. didnt catch if it was a coupe or sedan, was in the other direction, but it was definately a facelift, i have never got all tingly inside over a prefacelift (yet!)
  17. whats the offset of the rims? probably too low?? there is PLENTY of room in the rear wheel well for almost anything you like in an E34, im running 255s on Schnitzers, and plenty of room still both inwards and outwards
  18. 'most anything Alfa Romeo. But i still wouldnt own one. My Uncle's Mom rocks a really late model Maserati Quatreporte as a daily, cant get much better than that. Practicle, and sounds good below 4000rpm boxes ticked, affordable, well not so much
  19. Cool will call him tomorrow, have found some in the UK, but rather not wait that long, also going to pop up and see the guy with the M70 trials truck as he has gone ITBs on that last I heard!
  20. is homax still a thing?
  21. 400hp and 380Nm, it really is hard to believe….
  22. yup my thoughts too, if you are going to get it checked, either a friend off here, or a proper workshop, maybe even the dealer. avoid 320i as much as economically possible, a 318i or 325i (preferably in manual) are both better cars. 320i is the most uneconomical of the lot in automatic form.
