  1. Does anyone know if they exist for post-Neue Classe BMWs? or even if a capital T was available? i know they call them, for example, a 525iT, but i dont think ive seen that as a badge? cheers
  2. I found the screws kept comin out so i drilled new holes and tip tied the bastard in place. Its quite dangerous having it in there some times. Mine caught the accelerator once and that was why i decided to remove it. Lucky i was manual so i could clutch in, or who knows what might have happened
  3. red e30 (tech1?) vert with the houndstooth/tartain seats today on the motorway in wellington. Looked good except going the opposite way. Wasnt Ian, maybe someone else?
  4. oh well that makes sence then! i was worried for a bit there ha. its communism to a certain extent isnt it
  5. why? please tell me you/he didnt cut metal on the rear firewall?
  6. shorter. The E36 one is the longer of the two. dont know where the E38 and E39 one fits in but id assume that would be longer still. Edit: but if you can only find an E36 one that will work, you just have to shorten it by doubling it over at the engine end or what ever. also M5xB2x are all the same throttle cables on each chassis, so a 520i and a 525i are the same etc
  7. E34 M50 is the correct one.
  8. been on there for ages, im not quite sure why either. The only reason i can think of is they had a GM V6 under the work bench and the BMW blew up and they had no cash
  9. +1 i have heard great things about them, though they werent able to do mine as aparently my car is a 520i Executive and is why it has an oddball cluster. not that thats related to you, but a search will bring up my thread of the same problem that had thier details in it
  10. i was looking at doing that back when i had my E30, but from what ive read its not a good idea if the armrest is up as the woofer is pushing air into a very tight space so it has to work harder. I went with a box in the boot setup instead. unless you plan to keep the arm rest down all the time, or are willing to rig a switch to the remote line on the amp so you can switch it off with the armrest up, i would suggest the same
  11. ACS were/still are made by OZ iirc
  12. gah wrong stud pattern or i would be all over these! GLWS
  13. yeah thats the plan. the seller says they have found them so we will see, if not then i will just get some from an engineering place
  14. brought my car with them already in it. not sure on price, but i have priced coilovers and they are around the 1500 mark to put it in perspective. bear in mind my car is a wagon though, so a bit more weight to support in corners. so to me they feel a tad soft in mine they would be good in a sedan probably
  15. ahh i see. bilsteins are good, i think theres konis in mine and they are pretty good too
  16. springs are supposed to dictate the ride height, not the shocks. you want to get some aftermarket springs. stock they do ride pretty high!
  17. hmm seller thinks they may have found some in the shed so hopes are up but we will see. Jeff Grays and BMW overseas dont carry them they tell me.
  18. when is it? ..and what does it cost to enter, and what benchmarks do you have to meet?
  19. good luck if you are going to attempt doing this using OEM parts. I measured it up etc, and ended up going full custom. Theres nothing special about a stock bmw exhaust system, its the engine that you hear, and provided you use glasspacks, this wont change. i had three off the shelf glass packs, nothing fancy and it was roudy, so if i was to do it again, i would import better quality stuff.
  20. adobe works on OSX, is any version of iOS that it doesnt work on. In normal peoples terms this means it works on Macintoshs, but not on iphone, ipod, ipad, iwank etc cant reinstall browser, its a Mac so its all built into the operating system. However i did update it and remove all coookies and hasnt done it since so hopefully it stays like that. mind you i havent been on redtube much this week
  21. oh god not another yellow M3 fanboy ...waits for the bite... haha nah congrats with purchase you will enjoy it
  22. i know cards are stacked against me on this, but a stab in the dark, any one got them they will sell? alternatively, anyone know what other bolts off an E34 have the same thread and would be suitable? or know or a good place in welly to by new ones, say an engineering firm? cheers
  23. the part where it mounts to the car shocks should fit all 3 series up to e46 inclusive, but the width may be the killer
