Does anyone know why all import wagons are either 320i or 520i? Was there a tax incentive in britain in the e30/e34 era for 2L and below or something?

Of the three facelift manual types its the shortest. M20G240 is medium and the m40g240 is the longest. Sorry cant help with actual length!

The one i bolted to the m52 did that for a week or so and then came right. No idea why though E: that was 80w90

Also there is the immobilisor ( cant think of the right word sorry) that stops the enging starting in drive and reverse. Need to short that when doing a manual conversion, but iirc is usually shorted at the ecu in a factory manual.

Highly doubt it, but there is a possibility seeing as you are going fro fl to pfl. If ti was straight fl to fl it would be a no for sure

if it wasnt done properly would there be oil like what im used to seeing or thicker etc? im not sure if it was genuine BMW or not, though most parts for this car are brought from Jeff Gray
