Just picked up an E30 coupe facelift for next to nothing. Will be parting it to order this weekend/week, so anything you want let me know asap. All parts will be cheap as chips. not interested in trademe auctions so first in first served, Ill get my cash back thru mcauleys anyways. All usual parts are available, is in fairly average condition, been rear ended so aft of the C pillars is wrecked, but running gear is sweet. 89 M20B20 facelift 266 kms and runs quite well, only tappy on startup, can be heard going if needed. Auto dont know which type yet probably open diff, will check that though as has a few M bits on it which are mine, but no need for the LSD coupe door prefer wellington only, but will send small stuff like sensors or whatever. chur Andy 0273079322 no PMs please, just text or call me any time

fair enough. there are plenty around though, all the UK imports have them. Worst case senario, if you can find a dead cluster (usually because of the service interval batteries going dead), you can dissassemble them and put the mph gauge unit into your kms cluster. the amount that ticks over on the odo is to do with the gears in the unit, not the clusters circuitry.

No need to wind the kms. They are very easy to disassemble and put a new face on the km/h gauge. Im happy to do it for you if you send it down, i did it to my twincam. Gauge obviously still counts in kms if you do this though, so just tell the wof guy it is kms not miles as indicated.

Yes my work uses them too, and this is the first order i have done since working for this company. Thats because fastways (the original non franchisee company) is buying back the runs as people leave thier contracts etc so im told. Not sure, not this side of christmas anyway. Im always happy to do it though if you can get a group buy here or more likely on another forum. try as i might, i have never sucessfully explained this to anyone. my E34 520i was fairly shocking, and my 525i isnt much better. Had a chat with Oli down here with a 540i at one point, and he was getting the same as my 2L... I think its the auto in them that kills it more than anything however... my E30 M318i is the most fuel efficient car ive owned, and my E30 320i's economy improved by about 2L/100km from 11 to around 8-9 just by doing the manual conversion on it. Edit: for what its worth my volvo turbo was pretty good too, but that had some swanky feature where it locked up the torque converter mechanically, so was like a manual in terms of economy when in top gear

Yeah i dont run euro plates on my car anymore either, just standard ones on one car and my ETHRTY plates on the other which are the real deal. I just put them on for photos

if you do get it resprayed, take it from my experience and get the best job you can afford. cost is directly proportionate to quality when it comes to this sort of thing. dont know any good ones in auckland though sorry

Since this thread i have heard they are quite good for street stuff, but like stock suspension, they work fpr hard driving and track but arent great, however i have no personal expreience. I went with an H&R cup setup whith bilstein sport shocks. For cost benefit, i really dont think they could be beaten, unless you want the adjustability factor.

Same here, 3D gives me headaches. Flat screen look more lifelike to me. Mind you im colourblind, short sighted and dyslexic on a bad day, would surprise me if i dont see 3d in everyday life like everyone else does.
