cool will make list now Saw your car today, did you see a mondeo witha trailer piled high with tvs and computers on the motorway? I actually thought as it went past it needs a europlate, my boss was with me and said it looked great too Yes, but they are euro length. the only thing that isnt variable about these plates is the font and the size of the plate, all the colours and stickers etc are

is that an e46 grill on it? should go back to e36 imho. not a fan of non-oem wheels, but those look alright!
-
i think thats 10 points for hitting it and a bonus 5 per piece?

E46 Rear strut tophats
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to _ethrty-Andy_'s topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Cheers for concern Glenn, they will be whether i look at it or not, as the person knows i have no experience with E46. i had a look for interests sake and see if i could see any obvious issues. But i wouldnt learn anything if i didnt put my question up on here. i like to learn things and help other people learn.. contrary to popular belief im not on here just to comment at any possible opertunity, or every third post would be mine. -

Rear indicator tinting and sideskirt/front lip painting

ask them about motor oil and youll get the same result lol anywhere from 50c to $2 a piece from BMWNZ. are usually in stock too so you can avoid ex-germany shipping -
depends if there is any oxidation on the inside as well. you may have to do both sides. i did the outside and then relised this and thoiugh f'it and left it like that. its a long slow process. kinda like your wifes/moms knitting.. to be done infront of the tv one long night edit: cool M3 btw, but why are your headlight wipers parked 90degres the wrong way? if your lookin at the left hand set (on the right looking at the picture) the outside wiper should be parked vertically and the inside should be horizontal

A little bit offtopic but I had a blue E34 sedan about 4 months ago some may remember it. i sold it to a guy that then apparently used the car in a robbery the following day and dumped the car. they hadnt changed the car into thier name though i had sent my bit, and the cops wanted to arrest me! the fact i banked the proceeds and VTNZ date stamped my half of the COO papers saved my ass. Theres some crazy people out there
-
possibly. i wanted low down torque as the car was a daily and thats why i left it. thats also why the original plan for me was to keep OBD2 (not sure if you were on this forum back then) shouldnt need to drop the diff. its a pain in the ass to drop it, and it doesnt just swing down easily, it may put too much tension on the subframe mounts, if they even allow you to twist it down. yes you will do coming from an M40. its marginal over the M20 engine.
-
sure an e30 is the best choice then? i have noticed there aret many e30s on there at the moment worht clicking on either
-
correct, but the difference is pretty minimal. its only rotational mass your loosing and prehaps a minor increase in engine strength by taking it out though. you dont need to remove diff. i took both rear wheels off my car, and the right side suspension was out and i managed to shimmy it in. should have done that when the engine was out, shouldnt be too hard though

well i was sitting in the car just about to take out my headunit and swap that over when the wind blows through the back door and it smells like gas. thats strange. so i open up the spare wheel well and seems to be gas smell in there. crank the car and yep gas. must not have done the feed line up or at all. reconnected that up and hey presto. so must have either been the crank angle sensor or the maf, and the fuel line was loose because i swapped the fuel pump. so now it runs, but not drivable. i HATE those stupid little BMW hose clamps you can only use once. off to Mega in the morning to pick up some new clamps and im sorted!

where in the country are you?

seems to be okay, but i dont really know how to test that. would that go all of a sudden though?

Carefull Polley. you are right to my knowledge too, but dont get personal like your first sentence (not quoted) or you may be banned. Josh does know a lot like a lot of people on thie forum, but noone knows everything. /thread save

hmm still its not getting fuel into the cylinders for some reason, and can figure out why! have replaced fuel pump, relay, Crank position sensor, intake boot and the MAF (incase it was an air issue). fuses look fine definately getting spark, and compression is fine anyone have any other things to look at? i realy need the car back asap! thanks in advance

actually, on his setup, vanos is installed but does not function. its flashed out of the ECU.

because thats what pitstop down here used when they had it fabricated. the connections between the different parts of the exhaust are all ford falcon. they arent second hand they are new though. i guess theres no need to use OEM bmw connectors when its all custom anyway. yeah mean so you can keep an eye on the temp. dont thrash the engine too much as its been sitting here for a few months, but should be good to go soon! the radiator wont leak, i brought it new for the conversion
-
they are very fun arent they! and so addictive! the alternator problem was a contirbuting factor to why mine was parted out, amoung other things unrelated to the conversoin like rust. may have issue with the exhaust, thats why i have made the middle part with the resonators detachable, so that you can put a muffler in its place and quieten it down for cert. make sure they use Ford falcon connectors at each end of the pipe. what did you do for the temperature?
