Thanks for that Ron. Zero/Nathan, when you say inner gaurd, do you mean on the inboard side of the car eg the wheel tubs, or do you mean the outboard side of the wheel, eg inside of the fender? i assume its the former, but would have thought it would hit the shock well before it hit the body

I rarely freeze meat, it wrecks it I also rarely eat at home but for some reason buy meat every time at the supermarket Thus, I have eaten chicken a week past usebuy, Red meat lasts even longer one hour out the fridge is perfectly fine. Ask your grand mother (or great grandmother depending how old you are)

Mine were near as makes no difference 150mm either side of the CSB. Having said that, everyones opinions on the law varies, and at the end of the day, there is only one person you need to satisfy and thats your certifier, so give him a call and ask him what hes expecting. Much cheaper to call him now, get them placed correctly first time, than rely on a forum of different opinion/experience and end up with an extra 4 or 8 holes in your floor. Your cert guy does not charge for the phone calls you give him during the process, and if anything will probably warm him to you for making sure you are getting it right first time, makes it cleaner sailing come time for the actual inspection. $0.02

yes back of the car just forward of rear wheel, both simple enough to do after the swap, though highly recommend replacing the fuel filter at the same time

dont know why people always say BMWs are a bitch to bleed. I have done dozens of coolant changes on all manner of engines and bodys, never had a problem. heater on, bleed screw open and fill her up. i most likely have a brown top sensor here you can try, or get one off Elijah his M30 should be the same sensor from memory although his engine got a little toasty at some point too, but thats another fault. only a 10 minute tear down to check the timing on a facelift engine, havent done it on a prefacelift but cant imagine there is much more if any more to doing it. Id love to say come round and we'll spend an afternoon on it but im flat out at the moment on my own cars and also renoing the house too.
