  1. Hi Guys Got this plate with my 2002 it is still registered to it, but will remove if anyone is interested. Plate was brought while car was in storage, and has never been on the road or attached to a vehicle however has been registered to a car for the past few years. Variations on this are still $969 such as O and 0 the other way around, This one $700ono
  2. isn't this essentially the same as the system on some mid 2000s BMW engines where they blow fresh air down the exhaust so O2 readings at the tail pipe are higher
  3. try moving the tyre 180 degrees on the rim and then try to balance.
  4. This might be a BMW forum, but i think it would almost unanimous.. . RS4 wagon > M6
  5. Yes looks correct with the question mark around the linkages. Have recently found out all manual E23 have the same linkage parts as E30 320i so that may be usefull to know. Not verified by yours truely however. For the record, John and I are both spouting our own findings not "internet knowledge", and using facelift parts. Prefacelift linkages may or or may not be different from a compatibility point of view, they are physically totally different.
  6. I dont think you could go wrong buying Hamilton. or take a punt in Huntly and gamble that KiwiRail will start stopping thier commuter trains there. Its got to happen sooner or later.
  7. yeah how else will you do your lines of coke lol
  8. yep just a sign of an ever growing Auckland population with productive land being sold for housing, and the increasing demand for food and resources needing to be trucked in from further and further away. Auckland is geographically situated in literally the worst place for a main city lol. Tinyest width of land in the north island and sitting on top of a range of active volcanos amoung the main reasons!
  9. Have you tried Arrow Wheels in auckland? they can do amazing things i have sent wheels up to them in the past and been very impressed
  10. i forgot to call them today, dammit, i guess they are still open for a few more minutes but who wants a call at 4.55 on a Friday arvo lol Is that an open invite? I have been uhmming and ahhing if its worth stepping up or sticking to what i know and getting RE003. Last time i deviated from what i know i brought Continentals that were recommended, and my Hiace on Commercial Firestones understeers less than these. set of 4x 205 50 R 16 please.
  11. So he spent $100 for 3 minutes twice that night.
  12. think of the other E30s that can be had for that coin.
  13. its for all the world to see on the bridgestone site, no need to be an IAG customer
  14. Sounds like it was your first time south of the Bombay Hills.
  15. I will follow this up tomorrow, is it 4 for 3 across the Bridgestone range?
  16. Can I borrow some tapes for my 2001 $200,000 7 series?
  17. and this http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/09/m3-purists-run-for-the-hills/
  18. shorter shifter and linkage again, and they use a Getrag 260 box instead of the 240 the 320i and 318i use. i mean it wont work in conjuction with the M40 box by the way. Some people use the G260 and related bits with thier M5x swap with modified linkage and trans mount.
  19. here is a link, not much point me rephrasing this haha http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/CID
  20. into the bin it goes.
  21. if you are going to go down the cut and paste method, by all means do the shifter and the rear mount yourself (sorry john, knew that, forgot to post it ha), but leave the driveshaft to be lengthened or shortended by a professional. That Wiki is pretty accurate for most stuff, so im doubting myself... however it doesnt say manual or auto so that could be where the confusion is. i dont see the 318i manual driveshaft working.. it is about 1.5-2 inches longer than a 320i manual driveshaft i did same solution as John, used a complete 320i (M20) conversion, except an M40 gearbox. Note 320i is different to 325i, this is important.
  22. Sometimes the tag on the diff will say 3 numbers, like "3.64" or similar which means 3.64:1 of course. Sometimes it will have 4 numbers, like 40:11 which means 40 teeth on crown and 11 on pinion, 40 divide by 11 is 3.64 as well. some people sell these as 4.10 because they dont understand what the tag says, so pays to check tag yourself, or rotate the driveshaft/input and count axle rotations anyways.
  23. Can you link me to the page that says this? it is incorrect. If you want to use an M40 gearbox, you must use 320i (m20) driveshaft and linkage. M40 will be too long. Avoid using an M20 gearbox if you can, althought it will be bolt in you will need to modify the shifter, which makes it blindingly obvious if you intend to drive without cert.
