If you (not anyone in particular in this thread) had a budget of several million dollars to make your opinion on the TPPA, your opinion would be valid. Unfortunately you don't, I don't, so we collectively rely on the government that we have voted in and paid to be there to make the decision for us. The facts are that no kiwi individual has all the facts. This is exactly why i haven't put myself in a position here or elsewhere where i support the TPPA or not, I do not have all the FACTs to make my own mind up, so i rely on the Government. Same with Asset sales, I did not have an opinion one way or the other, and relied on my government to make their decision. The assets have lost value since being sold. One argument is poor Kiwi Investors. My argument is they shouldn't have brought in. The numbers just didn't stack up when i looked into it and kept my money elsewhere in the share market. The government extracted the maximum value they could. Don't forget when you sell a business is unlike selling a car. The price you set for the company is far higher than the assets value. Included is the profit that would have been gained over the next X number of years. unlike a house or car where you are only selling the capital value, not the future benefits. We are still being paid the "lost profits", we have already got them. I relied on the government we put there to make the correct decisions which on the balance of FACTS they did. If you really think you are hard done by the National Government, you would become a refugee in another country. I am very right leaning, but even i will admit if a Labour government was in power, I am still very fortunate to live in a country where the citizens collectively choose who to put in charge, and for the most part both parties do not abuse this privilege. Don't forget, if you voted someone other than the current party in power, your voice IS still heard through the party you voted for, proportional to the amount of people in the society that think the same way as you do. Its not a National show up in there. They are forced to listen to other parties that are in the house. National cannot do whatever they please, as they rely on other party support. One of the reasons I didn't vote National last election despite my support for them, I am not comfortable with one party having an outright majority by themselves, it doesn't work out well elsewhere in the world.

I like the blue and red one with the fern through it over the current flag. However if the option was the maori flag thats been an unofficial one for us for many years i would vote no. The idea was tabled before the last election along with asset sales, and the TPPA has been in progress for over 10 years. and yet people still put National in power with the biggest majority for several decades. As usual, its the people with the smallest percentage in society trying to make up for their lack of numbers by having a louder voice.

isnt braking just acceleration in the other direction untill forces become equal (ie stationairy), just like accelerating forward until forces are equal

is your fuse box cover clipped on correctly? i brought one new and the tab isnt around enough to hold it on. could force it round but i dont think the plastic is overly strong.

i read above and realised i have forgot some other stuff along the way Also imported and fitted E30 M3 seat badges, The cabbys have the exact same seats front and rear to the E30 M3, so a lot of interior stuff is supposedly cross compatible And then after I did that, i recalled an idea i had seen years back on R3v that i decided to try. Little update! Took car for a WOF a few weeks back, flew through as usual however they said the power steering system is a bit weepy, so what better excuse to give that bit of a freshen up. New fluids, copper washers and a new reservoir (they actually have a filter built in most people aren't aware of). Steering seems to be smoother, but doesn't seem to be boosted quite so much, or maybe i am interpreting it wrong and its just the wheel is easier to turn, i guess its doing its job! I think i have said it above, but the brake lights have been a bit intermittent. Replaced the switch last time around and that solved it but problem came back. Got in there to have a look see and it appears to have somewhat come out of its housing. Its an aftermarket switch not genuine BMW, so the collar doesn't lock quite as good as it should. Put some tape around that to space the colour and make it a bit bigger, seems to be snug in there now, so lets see if that falls out again! kinda good with the E30s, even though a 25 year old car now, telling you when they don't work through its self check is pretty neat. Also replaced indicator switch as last weekend it all of a sudden decided it no longer wanted to turn left. have sourced another obi type one, but its quite worn. Tempted to stump up the $200 odd and buy a brand new stalk and switch from the dealer, the price is absolutely criminal but what other option is there! If anyone has one that doesn't have the symbols showing any wear let me know!! And then this afternoon I replaced the stereo in the car. the $60 Sony i temporarily put in there when the original BMW NZ Sony stereo packed up was a good unit but very unsightly in the E30 dash. Picked up a pair of Clarion head units about 6 months ago, brand new old stock from about year 2008. I suspect they are specifically designed for old cars as they take a new approach to classic design, look correct with chunky square buttons The one i have fitted is a Clarion DXZ386USB. Does Blue tooth, hands free, USB inputs, AUX input front and rear and RCA in too. also separate Amp and Aerial wiring. Really can't ask for anything more in a stereo. Then i fitted it and found you can customise the screen as well as shown below! Aerial is wired in via the switch above it to override the aerial being deployed if needed (as detailed earlier in this thread), so its either automatic or retracted permanently

definitely sounds like poor installation and/or incorrect parts as Kelvin said. No production car on earth no matter how bad requires a suspension overhaul every 10,000km

dont think its just a stance thing. if anything its a post stance thing, all the nice ones were trashed during that time so there is not many genuine mostly untouched ones left. mainly why i have kept all the parts off my cabby that I have swapped so its still a matching numbers car should i ever need to sell it.
