Are those wheels really worth $750? i have one in my E38
-
im sure the insurance company will have made the assumption its certed. With our silly rules, despite being all OEM parts and power level as a "real" 325i, it will still need drive shaft hoops, other than that should pass fine

Get your IT guy on to it when he comes over on Tuesday for cabby parts Brent!!! just fyi, your login name will always be your very first Bimmersport name, regardless what you change it too eg those of you vets here will know i was originally 'ethrty320' here, which is still the user name i need to use when logging in from a different device. -
... that generate electricity from Diesel. Diesel (and petrol for that matter) is very good an maintaining a constant engine speed, they become very efficient. get a 1000cc engine or even less to drive an electricity generator that drives the motors for the wheels. Why the worlds manufacturers havent worked this out yet i dont know... The railways have done it for 50 years, and the technology has been around for over 100 years...

That would assume they have the same acceleration for the first 700mm (length of the barrel). The gun will have far higher initial acceleration because of the explosion, and will hit terminal velocity earlier in its decent, if not already exceeding terminal velocity when fired. Depending on height of building they should hit the ground at same speed, but fired bullet will be much sooner.

my old man has a Rover V8 one. between that an my old Patrol i will never own a passenger car with a solid front axle again. but otherwise i do like it, the cream leather with dark piping really tickles my tastebuds, and the rover V8 as obsolete as it is does sound very cool. I think every real kiwi has a bit of Land Rover in them, whether the like to admit it or not

An observation from E39 540m to E30 323

hate to be the guy at the end of the party that says home time..... but make sure you get the rust in the firewall thoroughly cut out and repaired correctly on that car before the pipe dreams really set in E30 coupes and Sedans are very fun, drive them like you stole them and never hit the middle pedal putting it into a corner. Cabbys are quite floppy and don't corner half as well as the coupes and sedans. Not sure about the tourings as the only ones I have driven i haven't owned, and you can't drive a car you don't own like one you do!! Im not sure what the suspension state is of that car (I/we never drove it), but get that all refreshed and sorted before you go crazy on the engine! -
is paint stripper safe for the aluminium/magnesium etc the wheels are made of?

Hey Guys, got an M50B25 Non Vanos from a 91 E36. Headgasket is cooked, any use to anyone? I am driving up to Auckland some time the second half of next week so could chuck it in the back of the van...

My dozen is bolted to the block too, but its probably pushing 2kVA so it needs to be.

Keep up the progress mate!

Would be interested in a trade for a bonnet and/or doors (don't need to be complete), colour doesn't matter, and some very light rust would be acceptable. The ones i have is ressurectable but would save a lot of stuffing around.

Decided on Friday night that my little 2002 wasn't going to start restoring itself, so spent Yesterday today tearing it down, mainly to investigate the rust situation and see if my gamble has paid off. Several surface spots which are nothing Some reasonably set in rust in the bottom of the fresh air box in the firewall and drivers side floor pan is totally rotted out, including in the chassis rail for want of a better word, I am confident sorting out the rust in the firewall and have done floor pans before in my Suzuki SJ410 i had many many years ago, However I will have to get a professional opinion on the chassis rail as there is very little integrity left in it. Have also decided I need to build a carport off the side of the house or find an alternative residence for my E30 while i am doing this sanding and whatnot, dust just goes everywhere, and you need quite a bit of extra space for panels and seats etc when they are not in/on the car!
