Nothing wrong with the old oil burners. The 524td for example was a mighty fine car. Pre-glow ceremony and all...
-
I think they just guzzle too much fuel...

Just wondering if a member on here. Your left rear shock seems to be hanging loose.

Perhaps it's gone over a traffic island at speed and at an angle...

I used Jif once. That helped to get rid of the most stubborn stuff. There is also special tar remover / paint cleaner out there that does a reasonable job. Thereafter just use elbow grease and clean regularly.

Yep, that's the one. Looked pretty tidy.

Just saw a red e36 m3 with black roll cage on Pakuranga Road.

Sometime late 80s. Hooned around a private yard in it until it fell apart. Not actual picture but looks pretty close.

Looks like a Celica to me...?
-
Does it include the deflector and rack?

Hello from an aspiring BMW owner!
C-130 Hercules replied to Tidy30's topic in New Member Introductions
Hi Tidy30 - BM Workshop is a great choice. Been with Ross and his team for years. When we came to Auckland we were looking for a reliable workshop as well. BM Workshop was recommended by our BMW mechanic in Christchurch. I like fact that they are BMW enthusiasts and work solely on BMW / Mini. The only other alternative I would trust our cars to is Ernst @ Bavarian Motors across the Shore. -
Saw the weirdest looking car ever this morning at Shell Harris Road. It was a cross between a Rolls Royce front half and a widened Mazda MX-5 at the rear half. Sides had massive recessed shark gills. Silver in colour. Had yellow plate. I kid you not.

Hi Andrew - at the end of the day it depends how much the car is worth to you What are trying to get out of it, how long will you keep it for. You can spend a lot of money on any project if you are chasing perfection - most of the time this will be in no relation to the actual market value. Perhaps get it road worthy first, have fun in it and then decide if you want to take it to the next level. - J

Rear fog lights switched on when there is NO FOG!
C-130 Hercules replied to sonny5cy's topic in Off-Topic
It is not just the annoyance. It is actually very dangerous to have rear foggies turned on unnecessarily. Reason for this is that the person following is being sensitised to the bright light. This has a detrimental effect on response time when person in front then suddenly slams on the brakes. One can't easily pick up that the brake lights have come on. -
Black 1M on Tamaki drive this morning. Red e30 m3 on Quay Street about 30 mins later. Such luck in one day - buying lotto this week.

Glad the touring still looks stunning as ever. Hope I can make it next time.

Hi bud After importation you will need to pass a compliance test before being able to register the vehicle on the road. After 6 months of that initial compliance test you will face your first WOF. In the compliance test they will 'strip' the car back to some extent to check for any hidden rust (for example sills, etc). Anything they will find you will have to address prior getting the certificate. I wouldn't worry too much. If you owned for a while you know it's been looked after and if they find something it will be a good thing to pick up on it and get fixed. Check with a compliance centre in your area.

Might be interested if I find the matching car for it. How much will you sell it for?
