    Nerve Damage

Duckeater - my friend use to race motorsport (supersport and superbike in nz) and had a lovely road accident, ended up severing a nerve in his neck and lost all feel and control of his right shoulder and arm. After 6 or 7 years he finally decided to have it lopped off... It's scarey when you think about how fragile you are. He currently having a bike customized so he can ride one armed and he's been competing in cycle races recently.
  2. But that green welly mayor uses a bike....
  3. I think you will find most people don't give a sh*t about the people who use the dole for what it was originally intended for - a temporary helping hand. People have issues with the fact that people are on the dole for multiple years at a time, If you can't find a job after 6 months there is something wrong with you... I know of one guy who lost his jobs as architects and was working in McDonald while looking for other architectural jobs. It was a job, end of story. I've got two cousins who are too proud to work in a lowly job - they have no qualifications but thing warehouse jobs, cafe/fast food jobs, cleaning jobs, etc... are beneath them. One's been on the dole for 6 yrs or so (longer i think), she's got 2 kids, her long term partner is listed as a flatmate to work the system so she gets dpb. It's people like that and that lady on Campbell live the other night who's just had her 6th child while on the dole/dpb that Apex was referring too. When people comment on Dole Bludgers and Slutty Mom's that who they are refer to. If you get your knickers in a twist - get over it...
  4. 2nd hand rear shocks (Bilstiens from a 306) = installed rear ride hight adjustment = completed installation of top engine mount = F!@KING B!@#H = Done (it hadn't been shaped properly so the buffer pads wouldn't fit... multiple removals and re-shapes = lots of wasted time) Spark plug inspection = done = new spark plugs installed (old sparkies where flush with ceramic base for the waste part. Might explain the starting issue.) I've also had to replace both the front headlights due to the glass falling out... One shattered and the other came off in my hand when i was checking to see if it was also dead. Re-siliconed all of the headlights so i know have 1 passengers spare. Also now have a tensioner bearing for the alternator squealing. Still waiting for the new torsion bars to be made.

street engine and race engine... you do you have two, and after a while you would get quick at engine swaps for trackdays and events!
  8. They could say you used diesel or something to sustain loss of traction with little power
  9. no one said they didn't do the testing on a prep'd track with drag tyres...
  10. A top fuel dragster accelerates from a standstill to 100 mph (160 km/h) in as little as 0.7 seconds

offer it as a trade for a cage and seats to a motorsports shop?
  12. I would but i'll be watching the superbowl.
  13. For that price you could get some bilstiens custom valved to match your desired spring rate. KW and Leda arn't much more than either. Adjustable Height is a waste of time and needs certing. Get a decent set of adjustable damper (rebound) shocks and some springs (decide if you want handling or looks) if you want to have adjustment control. Most of the damper adjustments on low / mid range shocks are not linear and can be a pain to get setup correctly to your car. Also realize that driving style / personal taste will dictate if the car is too firm in places or too soft in places, what i think is perfect could be the worst handling car for you.
  14. just me or does that look like a suv?
  15. I use to get pulled over all the time for having the back of the car too dirty. They couldn't see the brake lights, or the indicators, or read the plate. So they do pull people over for that.
  16. they don't do daily driven so don't know how that effects your car. Vero is there under writter so you could go through them maybe instead.
  17. I"m with classic cover the pug is insured for 20k and it's $380 a year
  18. As above they are completely illegal, they are offent over looked by the police but you should expect a $200 fine should you get pulled over. I had Shelly from here make mine up as I didn't want my plate blocking air flow into the radiator. Mine is on a relflective vinyl and done in a scaled down euro style it's about 2/3's normal size.
  19. Looks really nice man... Also any change you can tell me who did your cage? I've got a friend looking to get one very soon, and wanted to pass on the details. I pm'd you but you didn't reply.
